After vanlifing mostly in cities for the past few weeks, I was craving some quiet time in nature. ☺️

In this week's vlog, I go over a typical evening and morning while travelling in Italy in this converted Mercedes sprinter van with my boyfriend, Joury. 🚐 🇮🇹 Our evenings and mornings definitely vary, and on this particular evening and morning, we were in an amazing nature reserve area: Sila National Park (one of Italy’s oldest national parks). 🌙🌄 Not to forget, with a gorgeous view of Lake: Lago Cecita. 🏞 Surrounded by the mountains and forest. 🏕

After obsessing about Van life for a while now, I finally convinced my BF to not just go on vacation to Italy, but to travel and explore this country by van! ☺️🚐 So, we rented this gorgeous sprinter van from this nice Italian couple and started our van life trial. 😁

After the first few days in Lamezia Terme, we were ready to get our van and travel around this hidden gem of a province in South Italy, Calabria. 🇮🇹

Bonjour! 🇫🇷 Check out my 2nd travel vlog about Paris 🥰 If you are planning to go to Paris, check out our walking route for tips! 🤩🗼

DAY 2. After traveling from Amsterdam to Paris, we walked this beautiful walking route through the city of Paris, France. 🇫🇷 Of course we started the day off with real French croissants 🥐 in the Paris Saint-Germain-des-Prés quarters. Check out our walking route below!! 😘

THE WALKING ROUTE:
1. Luxembourg gardens
2. Pantheon
3. Notre Dame
4. City centre (where you can do some shopping / eating)
- Nice pastries and macarons at Paris Baguette.
5. Louvre
6. Place de la Concorde
7. Quai d'Orsay (nice "boulevard" towards the Eiffel Tower)
- Grand Palais
- Dôme des Invalides
- Pont Alexandre-III
8. Eiffel Tower (if you want to go up, buy your ticket online and way ahead! Like at least a month before!)
9. Arc de Triomphe (if you still have energy left 😜)... We went home with an Uber 'cause my feet were killing me! 🤣

We took a couple of hours to finish this walking route. Mind you, I walk very slow! 😆 But I do recommend you to plan a full day for this if you want to take it slow. If you are faster, you can add Arc de Triomphe, but we saved that for another day.

Buongiorno 😃🇮🇹 The next couple of days we are staying at this super cute B&B located on the hillside. The view is great 😍 The people here are so kind! The hubby of the owner picked us up from the airport yesterday evening and they even made us a real Italian family dinner! So sweet 🥰

Day 1! BONJOUR 🇫🇷🥐🥖 In this vlog we travelled to PARIS for the first time! 👩‍🎨 From beautiful sight seeing ⛪️, to police confrontation👮, to eating escargots (snails)🐌 ! Make sure you watch the vlogs cause we have some exciting stuff happening!!! 😊

We travelled from Amsterdam Central Station to Paris Gare du Nord with the Thalys high speed train. The train ride took only a 2-3 hours and it was pretty comfortable. Once we arrived, our Paris adventure started! 👁👄👁

In this vlog, we are trying out Surströmming. A Swedish delicacy 🇸🇪, but also known as the WORLD'S SMELLIEST FISH! And boy, did we find out. 😩🤣 It was definitely the nastiest fish dish I've ever eaten! 🤮
After our BBQ party, we went back home to Amsterdam and it was raining so hard! Of course Joury forgot his coat at the party ☔️🤣

LITTLE INFO:
Surströmming is the Swedish name for soured herring. It is fermented Baltic Sea Herring that is sold in tin cans and mostly eaten in the north of Sweden.
Boys and girls -and everyone in between-, don't try this at home 😂😂 (but in the garden instead 😛)
