We have been to Metrópolis, Illinois a couple of times to check out Superman! What a cool attraction for the area.

We attended the Amy Grant concert at The Virginia Theatre in Champaign, Illinois. Chris has been a big fan of Amy Grant since early high school and attending church camp. Fun fact - Chris even sang Amy's song "Wise Up" at a church camp talent show!
What Amy doesn't know is that we both have daughters that graduated from Belmont University this past May!

Throwback Thursday - In December of 2021 we spent Christmas at Walt Disney World. Our daughter was working at Disney through the Disney College Program while attending Belmont University.

We are making our way home from Gulf Shores, Alabama. We stopped in Birmingham, Alabama to visit with our son and then drove up to Spring Hill, Tennessee to visit with our daughter and son-in-law. We finally stopped for the night in the fabulous city of Franklin, Tennessee. If you haven't been to Franklin, it has the best downtown area! Park and walk to all the boutique shops, my favorite is Tin Cottage, and grab some wonderful food, I am partial to Puckett's!

We have left Gulf Shores. We enjoyed the sunny days at the beach (90°+). We had some great food and saw some local attractions.

Last day for us on the beach at Gulf Shores! We begin our trip back home tomorrow to our normal lives and our kitty. We will get to stop and see both of our adult children though on our way back home, so that's something to look forward too!

Our son joined us for a few days in Gulf Shores before heading back to Samford University. We went and played putt putt together.

This is the first time we have swam with jellyfish, that we know of! This type of jellyfish were prevalent in the water today. Flags were yellow and purple so we knew to expect some sort of sea pest.

We stopped to have dinner with our daughter and her husband on our way south!

We are taking our son back to college in Alabama. Then these Empty Nesters are heading down to Gulf Shores for a few days of sight seeing, being beach bums and geocaching.
