Story time. I was at a friends for New Years Eve, and we were drinking cause duh. I told stranger #1 that she smelled nice, like a tropical vacation, because she did and that’s a reasonable compliment on someone’s perfume when you’re vibing well enough. Strange #2 heard and asked what she smelled like. I, an idiot, told her she smelled “like… books?” Because an old boom or oak armoire is seriously a great smell… unless you’re not a reader in which case you would give me a dirty look and watch me try to back track and say I meant vanilla and then not talk to me for the rest of the night.
