Sr. LO206 group photo from the final race of 2024 at Hill Country Kart Club (HCKC). Full season recap and GoPro video will come later, but suffice it to say the final race pretty much summed up most of this year. Unloaded thinking the engine troubles were solved, get on track, and find out they were not solved.

Thankfully, I was able to borrow an engine to at least make laps with (thanks again to your dad, .ryan791). It's just incredibly frustrating to be dealing with this issue on two separate engines now and no explanation for what could be causing it. Hopefully we can get something figured out over the off-season. Even if that something is moving into the Rotax Club Max class.

Finally getting around to making a post. Well Kartoberfest 2024 went a bit better than last year's version. Started off a bit questionable as during the second practice session, the engine started sputtering on-throttle. After multiple adjustments, multiple carburetors, and a new fuel pump nothing worked and figured my weekend was already over.

Then I was offered the chance to drive a different kart in the Rotax Club Max class. I'd been wanting to race the 2-stroke class anyway, and was considering it for next year, so this was a good chance to see what it was really like. Results didn't matter cause I was like 30lbs underweight, but it was a BLAST regardless! It was hard physically, I definitely need to do some more pushups, and I was sore afterwards. But it was also nice to drive something that actually accelerated when you get on the loud pedal, and actually had to use the brake and throttle control. Bonus - I finally got back on YouTube (see below).

Hopefully, we can get the LO engine going again, and finish out these last two races at Hill Country Kart Club (HCKC) with a bang.

Yep, that's me....you're probably wondering how I got in this situation.

So yeah, first race back from baby leave was a bit of a doozy. Qualifying actually went pretty well, ended up starting Heat 1 in 4th. Didn't stay there however. I dropped back a couple spots early when I got wide in Turn 3, and never could make them back up.

Heat 2 is what you see in the video. Running about 6th-ish early on when a kart spun in front of me and I couldn't avoid. Fortunately, just the nose had some damage so I was able to run the final. No real incidents there, I just struggled to complete passes all night.

Next event is , Hill Country Kart Club (HCKC)'s big, multi-day event on October 26th and 27th. The kart is undergoing some much needed TLC thanks to Kartingdepot.com, so hopefully that will translate to some better performance for this last stretch of the year.

Sorry for being a bit radio silent. Lots of life changes recently with the birth of my son a few weeks ago. But I guess it's time to start getting back in the swing of things.

First order of business is an announcement in the iRacing realm. After an application and selection process, I'm pleased to announce that I was selected to be part of the Majors Garage NTT INDYCAR SERIES Esports team! This isn't my first go with the Majors crew as some of you may remember I was also part of their Project Alien competition in 2021. So it's good to come back "home" in a sense.

On the karting front: I should be back in action starting in October, so look for more of that content in the near future.
