“We will revise the K to 12 Curriculum to make them more responsive to our aspiration as a nation, to develop lifelong learners who are imbued with 21st-century skills, discipline, and patriotism,” ayon kay Pangalawang Pangulo at Kalihim Duterte.

“We will reduce the number of learning areas in K to 3 from 7 to 5 to focus on foundational skills in literacy and numeracy in the early grades, particularly among disadvantaged students,” dagdag ni VP-Sec. Duterte.

“We will integrate “peace competencies” such as social awareness, responsibility, care for the environment, value for diversity, self-esteem, positive character, resilience, and human security into the various learning areas of the K to 12 Curriculum,” ayon kay VP-Sec. Duterte.

Baybay City Senior High School has been a pilot school of the Basic Education Sector Transformation project of the Australian Government DFAT. Under Project BEST, the Learning and Development activities of the school has been through big transformations starting from the utilization of the concept of Learning and Development Needs Assessment (LDNA) up to delivery of training needs based from LDNA results.

In 2019, right after the end of the project, the Sustaining Educ Reform Gains (SERG) followed which is a project made to sustain gains in the reforms which were results of Project BEST. The SERG is a continuing program from Project BEST, sponsored by the Australian Government DFAT and Save the Children in partnership with DepEd.

Being one of the six pilot schools of SERG in the division, the school continued to assist teachers in the pursuit for professional development to better prepare them for the opening of classes in the blended learning modality.

Found in this page are posts, photos and videos of the different activities conducted in Baybay City Senior High School relative to its Journey with a renewed and refreshed Learning & Development Program utilizing the L&D structure.
