Agricultural Lesson #1:

For those who might not be familiar with bovines—that includes cows, bulls, and even bison—this is for you. If you've ever wondered where baby cows come from, let me introduce you to the "cow's nest." As shown here, the eggs in this particular nest are all white. Typically, white eggs suggest that the newborn cow will either be raised for beef or become a dairy cow that produces only white milk. However, on the rare occasion you find brown eggs, prepare for a special treat: these cows are destined solely for producing chocolate milk!

Brothel Candles; were used extensively in European brothels between 1880-1905 CE. They were also popular in the Western United States during Gold Rush years. Concept was simple, you paid your price of admission, so to speak, and then you and your rent-a-date would head to 'Room of Requirement'.

Lady of the Night would light the wick and you’d get busy. A brothel candle burned for approximately seven minutes. When the candle went out, you were done. Even if you weren’t, technically, done. Some ladies would trim the candles down, so they’d burn for even less time.

Fun Fact Friday-
This is the Mitsubishi Dialtone D160, the largest subwoofer ever built, with 60 inches in the 1980s. Weighing 800kg, it can easily shatter windows and produces small earthquakes that can be felt like ground vibrations within a 2-kilometer range. At the Koriyama factory, the test was conducted at first in the measuring room, but was stopped because the ceiling lamps fell due to vibration. The outdoor test appeared to have a negative impact on the neighborhood. At a distance of about 100 m from the speaker, the sound was felt, but at a greater distance, it was transmitted as vibration and noise on the earth instead of an audible sound. Within a 2-kilometer radius of the factory, damage such as vibrations, small earthquakes, as well as noises from walls and windows occurred.
Despite its impressive earthshaking performance, the Mitsubishi Dialtone D160 faced several challenges. Its enormous size and weight made it impractical for most home environments. Additionally, the cost of manufacturing and purchasing such a massive subwoofer was prohibitive for many consumers. As a result, only a limited number of D160 units were produced, making it a rare and sought-after collector's item today.

A baboon named Jack officially worked for South African railways (1881-1890) as a signalman and was paid twenty cents a day and half a beer weekly. Jack never made a single mistake in his entire Railway career.

Jack was a chacma baboon who assisted a paraplegic railway signalman named James Wide, also known as "Jumper" Wide, after losing his legs in a railway accident. James Wide trained Jack to help him with his daily tasks.

Over time, Jack learned to operate railway signals under supervision, requiring careful attention and precision.

Jack the Baboon became famous for his reliability and accuracy in railway signal operation. He never made a mistake in the nine years he worked for the railway.

Jack passed away in 1890, and his skull is preserved at the Albany Museum in Grahamstown, South Africa, as a reminder of his unique contributions to the railway industry.
