When I say I did a mixtape, this is what I am referring to. I used to BUY all of the records (sometimes I had to travel to record stores in other cities for exclusives), Purchase the turntables, studio equipment & rack plug ins. Record the master (if you fu**ed up, you had to start all over again). Take the master to get duplicated. (3-5 day process) Design the artwork. Label each & every cassette (Get them printed on for a lil more money). Shrink rap them. THEN to gain traction, give away at least 500 of them before ever selling one. Djs have it way too easy, now.
