New Steelwings Sweden album STILL RISING
Steelwings Sweden who recently signed a worldwide multialbum deal with Pure Steel Records, is have released their new full-length album “Still Rising” on 25th November 2022.
Steelwings Sweden play classic hard rock/heavy metal with roots firmly from the eighties. They were formed in 1982 and were part of the FWOSHM (First Wave Of Swedish Heavy Metal)
The band played a lot of shows during this time and the
music was mainly spread by tape-trading.
In 1983 the band went to England and recorded two songs, the song “Live Your Life” is featured on their ‘Metal Plated’ compilation album. They also appeared on the charity record Swedish Metal Aid, together with other Swedish heavy rockbands such as Europe, Treat and Heavy Load.
The last album before their hiatus - "Steelwings" - was released on LP and CD in 1989.
Mike Amott of Arch Enemy, who saw Steelwings Sweden as a young kid back in the mid 80’s, stated: “They were the real thing, all dressed up and with big lights and homemade pyrotechnics!”.
In 2007 the new era for Steelwings Sweden begun, when the band was asked to perform on the 700 years anniversary festival of the city of Markaryd.
2019 Steelwings Sweden released their comeback album "Back", on CD and red vinyl.
The album was well received and put the band back on the hard rock map.
After a long band history, STEELWINGS now have joined forces with Pure Steel Records for the worldwide release of their strong new album called "STILL RISING".
The new Steelwings Sweden album STILL RISING is now rotating worldwide on PowerPlant Radio Organisation - Canada and Powerplant Radio Europe - Germany.

VRIJDAG 30 SEPTEMBER 2022:
Razende Roeland raast alweer 5 jaar!
Deze vrijdagavond vieren we het 5 jarig bestaan van het programma Razende Roeland bij Powerplant Radio Europe en Powerplant Radio Laut FM via het internet of rechtstreeks via de Power Plant Radio app. tussen 20.00 en 23.00 uur.
Het begon in de marathon tijdens het 25 jarig bestaan van toen nog Radio Stad Harlingen, even een uurtje Hardrockmuziek draaien. In 2017 het idee ingediend en gelukkig werd het goedgekeurd om op de zaterdagavond de ether van Harlingen en omgeving te verblijden met Hard Rock, Grunge en Heavy Metal. In 2018 is het programma verhuisd naar de donderdagavond en in 2019 ging het van één keer in de twee weken naar een wekelijks uurtje Hardrock en Heavy Metal.
Door en dankzij de corona werd Razende Roeland ook ontdekt door Nederlandse Hardrock Bands en werd de radio een belangrijke bron om nieuwe muziek te verspreiden en te laten weten dat de bands er nog waren en zijn. In 2020 waren er ook een paar bijzondere uitzendingen zoals op kerstavond en oudejaarsavond, heerlijk om dan jou passie en de passie van bands te laten klinken op die avonden.
Razende Roeland heeft dankzij de contacten op gedaan in de jaren 2020 en 2021 veel bands in de spotlights kunnen zetten. Ik denk aan de specials met MARTYR, HARDLAND, Dangerous Times for the Dead en onlangs nog met Sad Iron. Geweldig om een hele band aan de telefoon te hebben en samen van de muziek door hen gemaakt en geïnspireerd te genieten.
In deze uitzending van 3 uren zal ik proberen veel bands die ik heb mogen spreken aandacht te geven, maar ook de grote en kleine internationale bands krijgen hun platform.
De avond wordt bijzonder omdat het voor het eerst is dat er een band live komt spelen in de studio, daarnaast zijn er een paar prijs vragen waar we leuke prijzen voor hebben.
Het feest programma zal vol zitten met heerlijke muziek van onder andere Pearl Jam, RVH Project, Vortex (MetalBats formerly known as Vortex) Ron Coolen Music, Arjen Anthony Lucassen en Burning.
Liefhebbers van een portie ouderwetse heavy metal opgelet. Burning uit het geweldige Stadskanaal (Groningen) heeft zijn 3e langspeler, getiteld Source of Humanity uitgebracht in 2021. Weer een album met dik veertig minuten heavy metal die rechtstreeks uit de jaren tachtig afkomstig lijkt. De band is opgericht in 2013 en in 2016 kwam hun eerst LP Nightmares uit.
Natuurlijk zal ik als kind van de jaren tachtig ook een plaat van Iron Maiden, Ronnie James Dio en Testament draaien. Maar het merendeel van de muziek deze avond zal komen uit Nederland. Met band zoals Jezebel, Manora, Slavantas, Diggeth en Mystic Motion.
Vorig jaar werden we wakker geschud door de band Mystic Motion uit Emmen die met Wake up! Nu had ik het genoegen om met de leadzanger een telefoongesprek te hebben en in dit gesprek werden er nog twee gloednieuwe songs van de 7 koppige band bekend gemaakt. Onlangs bracht de band “noodgedwongen” zes nummers in eigen beheer uit. De band is net als vele andere bands alweer heerlijk aan het spelen in diverse zalen.
Er zal op de avond ook ruimte zijn voor nieuwe muziek van Slender Pale. Dangerous Times for the Dead is de band die spelen komt dus ik denk dat we een top feestje gaan hebben!!

Their music contains heavy riffs, big orchestrations and powerful vocals by Fabienne Hurkens.
Songwriting is done mostly by bass player Sjors Bes – together with guitarist Mike van Keulen and drummer Willem Peters he forms already a musical trio since the foundation of the band in 2016.
In 2019 Stijn Welp was added to the band for playing keyboards and additional guitars.
In 2022 Sledeon re-released their first EP ‘Night Vision’, in anticipation of newer releases later that year.
With this 4-song release Sledeon entered a new era, as they strive to conquer the Dutch symponic metal scene.
30 September is the release from the new upcoming EP ËXISTANCE" and EVOLUTION is the first single coming from this new EP.
The new Sledeon single is now also rotating on PowerPlant Radio Organisation - Canada and Powerplant Radio Europe - Germany.
