I worked all night and all the next day on this one. talking London, acting and switching swags for and the pre-BAFTA dinner 🔥

The day after this I was on a late night shoot running around London until 3am. This film industry life is performed in marathons and sprints 😂💪🏻🎬

Directed and produced a fun production last week with the best team 🎬💯 I love to look back on projects and see all the things that can be improved, then over the years the incremental improvements compound and become huge.

In pre-production I used ‘Concepts’ and a film graphics pack to create a lighting plot for the location. Having a lighting plot works wonders to give a sense of the space and what you’re aiming for. Also can be attached to the brief for the team. We did however change location and table size for the final set, opting for a simple cross-key and instead of shooting into the windows we flipped the set. There was slight worry about the change of lighting but it was a pretty overcast day so lighting was quite consistent.

Working the post production on this as we speak.

Note to self: When renting equipment, first make sure they are open on early mornings so they can deliver to set, instead of finding out they are closed last minute and needing to bring all the equipment to set yourself. Goddamn nearly killed me 😂

Amazing to be back on more shoots after wrapping multiple projects in post production the past few weeks. Shooting in Manchester for the weekend and then back in London for more shoots throughout the week, going to continue killing it for the remaining time we have in 2021 🔥🎬💯

I can’t get over how good it is to shoot with the FX6, definitely helps that the FX6 is pretty much the baby FX9 and find myself reaching for this to shoot more and more.

Also quick side note, I recently purchased a VR headset and experienced VR gaming for the very first time. I avoided VR until I felt it had got past it’s beginner stages and now years later it is insane. I’m shocked more people aren’t picking up VR immediately, Xbox and PlayStation will be made obsolete when the rest of the world experience what it’s like to play a true VR game, Half Life: Alyx is scary good.

New YouTube video! This time focusing on how to get clients especially if you have no previous work (from my own experience). I had a lot of messages about this topic over the past few weeks so if you are wondering the same thing, I recommend checking it out.

I’ve been embracing more of the lockdown life, my sleeping pattern is completely upside down and I’m now wearing a hat due to my lockdown hair. Pretty sure I wear the same t-shirt or jumper every single day (more than usual). I’m reading Jordan Peterson’s book ’12 Rules For Life: An Antidote To Chaos’ for the second time. Absolutely love it, I was supposed to have it finished before the end of January but I somehow have ended up in February. Once finished I’m immediately moving on to Blair Enns ‘The Win Without Pitching Manifesto’ and by the of the month I’ll be reading for a second time ‘Never Split The Difference’ by or ‘The Business of Expertise’ by David C. Baker 🧠📚
Also loving the process of uploading to YouTube again, it’s important to have a direction and clear steps towards a goal, knowing the tasks that need in be in place each week to get things done and even more so whilst we’re in lockdown. It keeps us focused and stops us from going insane. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, create a Google Calendar and stick to it 📅

Stay ready, so you don't have to get ready 💯
Just uploaded a new YouTube video sharing tips on what I've learnt to implement over the past few years for Videographers 👇

For 2021 I decided to dive back into YouTube to share my knowledge and provide value to help others who may be starting their journey in the film industry. One of the talking points in the new YT video is focused on always being prepared for when the inevitable last minute phone call comes needing you for a film shoot or project ASAP, because it will happen (more topics in the video!).
Being ready and able to deliver when it's needed most is extremely valuable, especially within a small timeframe. 🏆
I continuously receive messages from a lot of people asking questions on how to do this, how to do that, where to start - I believe my YouTube will be the place for you. So hit the link in bio and subscribe!
Also excited to be uploading my first carousel to my own platform. Loving the experimentation 🔥

Still the same as the past few years, doing what I love and going into 2021 with a refined vision, work ethic and new set of goals 🎬💪🏻💯
2020 has been insanely strange, aside from all the lockdowns and pivoting, it has been filled with opportunity at every turn to learn, fail, improve, optimise and most importantly relax for the first time without feeling like the world was going to leave me behind. It's for sure had challenges but it's important to not only be a problem solver but a problem seeker, 2020 revealed weak points and has allowed us to eliminate them and build upon them so we do better going forward.
I remember a great quote from Gary Vaynerchuk "put yourself in a position to succeed" - "succeed" being contextual to whatever you are aiming for. I always come back to it because it reminds me how the constant drive to develop, learn and make the correct sacrifices always pay off. Living in a house share with 10 people, eating like two meals per day and working on what I love, the lifestyle creates less friction between where I am and what I'm aiming for. An unlimited runway to combat the unexpected obstacles, and I'll be continuing the same work ethic going forward 🔥
It’s also been absolutely incredible to have the opportunity to work on such amazing projects with such talented individuals and inspiring teams throughout 2020, I'm super excited for what's to come in the New Year. Now it's time for 2021 - See you there! 🎉
Continuing these quotes! - "Hard work and hustle is only condemned by those who don't do it" - Grant Cardone

This project was one of the most fun and exciting, yet most challenging shoots I have been on in quite some time. We shot for 28 hours straight with little to no rest, from a cold early morning, through the afternoon and into the evening, then all through the night and into the next morning. Sony FX9 with no easyrig, if only I could go back 😂
The project followed a group of individuals on a 24 hour gratitude marathon known as ‘Run Grateful’ where the participants embarked on a journey of running one mile every hour for 24 hours, dedicating each mile to an area of their life they are grateful for and acknowledging immense gratitude for past experiences like overcoming drug addiction, redundancy, disabilities and more.
See the full film on my website here! - https://www.chfilmmaking.com/work
My biggest takeaway was having the absolute pleasure of working and experiencing the journey alongside such amazing individuals, sharing stories and experiences through the day, night, rain, cold and a massive thank you to the team Ed Kirwan and Andy Galloway, couldn’t have done it without you! - Also yes a team of three of us! 💪🏻💯
Now obviously I have to talk about what I’m grateful for. I’m grateful for opportunity and truly loving what I do, meeting and working with incredible people all the time and recognising and appreciating how people make the decision to choose me to work with when there are so many others out there. I’ll be forever grateful for every opportunity - But most importantly on a personal level I’m grateful for my mindset and the dedication I wake up with every day. The dedication to work 18 hour days and when necessary continue into the late nights without a second thought. Finding my passion early in life, sure as hell knowing it and making the most of it.
“What you’re thinking is what you’re becoming” - Mohammad Ali 🔥
P.S - Sadly super last minute I couldn’t make the premiere to see this on the big screen and experience it with everyone involved. I hope you all enjoyed and wish you all the best! 🎉

I was brought onboard with 'Jamie & The Jam' to produce this promotional video for 'Gym + Coffee' coming to London. The promo features their clothing products on a male model with landmarks of London like Buckingham Palace, London Eye, Big Ben, St. Pauls Cathedral, Tower Bridge and iconic London sightings with red buses and London Underground tube system.
'Gym + Coffee' absolutely loved the final video assets and was amazing to work with 'Jamie & The Jam' to see it all come together.

Bossa Studios brought me onboard to produce three video parts showcasing their new game 'The Bradwell Conspiracy' launching with Apple's new cloud gaming interface 'Apple Arcade' Bossa Studios partnered with Apple for Apple's new gaming platform 'Apple Arcade' - Bossa Studios hired me to shoot and direct a series of 3-4 minute videos showcasing their brand new games designed for the Apple platform as well as documenting the behind-the-scenes development processes the studio had journeyed through.

This shoot took place over a series of multiple days with game capture, behind-the-scenes, b-roll, voice overs, interviews with the development team, art directors, founders of the studio, voice actors and Jonathan Ross' own son, Harvey Ross who was part of the development team working on the game. Jonathan Ross is featured in the game.

There were five videos at 3-5 minutes each created in total and were loved by both Bossa Studios and Apple.

I shot this up in Manchester recently and have been chipping away at it for an hour before going to bed. Super happy with how it turned out considering I had no plan, no shot list and no storyboard. It’s crazy how projects like this just unleash creativity, I love it! ❤️🎬
Thanks to BTK Boxing Academy for allowing us to shoot in their gym, Nabil Adil (the boxer) for modelling as the athlete for this piece and Jake Potts (skateboarder) for allowing me to capture his skateboarding tricks and "just one more shot" re-do's 👌🏻
