If you see me reposting pics from my trip to Amsterdam earlier this year… yes, yes you did. These pics aren’t about to die in my camera roll!! While I looove a funky fit and experimenting with trends, I often go with a more timeless and classic wardrobe when traveling. That way, when looking back on photos, they don’t feel quite as ‘dated’ and I know the pics will stand the test of time ⏳♥️

On one of our last days in Cannon Beach, I stumbled upon a breathtaking overlook. I sat here for a while, spreading out my cardigan on the grass to read and finish my la croix. Having been unwell since arriving in Oregon, I hadn’t had the energy to go for a walk until now. The grassy haven seemed like a reward, a secret paradise overlooking the ocean. It wasn’t until I had made my way back to the beach house that I realized I had unwittingly laid my cardigan on soft, velcro-like barbs, which dug their way tenaciously into the knit fabric. The next day’s car ride was spent plucking each tiny hitchhiker from the cardigan. Yet, even after returning home, I continue to find those little barbs nestled in the cardigan, rolling at the bottom of my bag, even tangled in the laces of my sneakers. ‘Ve come to think that maybe these are little reminders of this moment- of that gorgeous viewpoint shaded by an ancient tree. Or perhaps it’s simply karma for ignoring the ‘No Trespassing” sign that led me there in the first place.

a year of 💖💐💝🌷🎀
Happy (kinda) Birthday Dolly’s, you’re such a gift 🥂🎀
Last year was one of the most challenging I’ve experienced. After being laid off, breaking my first bone (my wrist), my cat needing emergency surgery, and feeling more alone than ever, Dolly’s brought me the confidence, support and purpose I didn’t know I needed. I take a lot of pride in working here, a female run, inclusive and safe cocktail bar that the scene doesn’t often offer. I’m so grateful for the people I have been able to meet, the confidence I’ve gained, and most importantly the community I have found myself a part of 💖
