Are you wondering what the best ways to gain more viewers on your posts, or a bigger audience? Well you need to be thinking about how to make sticky and spreadable content! 🎯
In order to gain a bigger audience, your content needs to be shared between viewers and to bigger audiences. But no one wants to share boring content! So what helps make content spreadable?
1) HUMOR: 🤣 If content makes someone laugh, they are more likely to share it with their peers in order to make them laugh as well. Humor can also help show your audience that you are light-hearted and understand them.
2) UNFINISHED CONTENT: 📝 When content is posted that leaves the viewer wondering or leaves them with a cliffhanger, they are more likely to come back to the page to look for new content, and share with others if it is interesting enough.
3) PARODY / REFERENCES: 🔗 When you reference something in your content that the viewer enjoys, such as music or a TV show, they are likely to share the content with other people that also enjoy what you referenced. Including parodies and references in your content can also help the audience to feel more relatable to you, and make them feel seen and understood.
4) TIMELY CONTROVERSY: ⏳ If you post something that relates to something big going on in the world of media at the moment, such as a divorce or scandal, it is more likely to grab the viewer’s attention. If the content relates to the controversial topic in an interesting way such as being funny or shocking, the viewer is more likely to share your content with their peers, to bring them the same emotions.
5) SHARED FANTASIES: 🫂 If you post something that makes the viewer feel something, such as nostalgia, or brings up values that they side with and experiences they may have shared, it is likely to cause them to share this content with others who resonate with the same feelings. Making the audience feel something is one of the most important things you can do as a content creator
Do you know what a Microcelebrity is?
“Microcelebrity can be understood as a mindset instead of practices in which audience is viewed as a fan base; popularity is maintain through ongoing fan management; and self presentation is carefully constructed to be consumed by
others.”
An example of a Micro-Celebrities are people like Mikayla Nogueria. She is a popular TikTok influencer who is famous for doing being a beauty influencer and posting makeup looks and more. She got famous during Covid-19 and has since maintained her fame by posting multiple times a day and doing popular trends as well as doing huge makeup giveaways to her followers.
Since then she has been given opportunities that people without a large following would not be able to get such as invites to movie premiers and more.
She also has paired with popular makeup brands to create her own products that are now sold world-wide.
However, she has recently been brought back into the spotlight, but this time negatively where she complained that being a influencer is hard work and five hours a day of working is stressful.

One of the parts of content that encourages spreadability is HUMOR 😂😭🤣
HOW DO PEOPLE USE HUMOR TO ENCOURAGE SPREADABILITY?
A company that I like to think uses this is Duolingo. (watch the video below)
Although this video doesn’t necessarily highlight anything to do with the app, it still allows people to connect with Duolingo in a shared laugh.
Since starting Tiktok, there’s been an increase in users. In 2021, they had a 55% user increase with over 500 million registered users where 37 million are active once a month.
They use humor to connect with a younger audience and therefore the younger audiences wants to continue this connection by downloading the app and/or increase their following on Tiktok!

GIF – Graphics Interchange Format, pronounced as "gif" or "jif," is an image file usually posted on the internet as a response or way of expressing a feeling.
How do you pronounce it?
GIFs are great way to boost user engagment by brining living images to a post! They go hand-in-hand with memes to give your platform a "silly😂🤣🤪" vibe.
