Over the last few weeks, as we moved in on a new year, I’ve heard preachers, politicians, and so many others testify that we are living in precarious times, dark times, dire times, times like the 1960’s in the United States, “hot mess of division”, some though have even said great times, the beginning of the “golden age”. These are folks on all sides of the political spectrum in the United States and all perspectives and denominations of Christianity. It’s been these testimonies that have led me to agree with a brother-in-the-Lord who shared with me that we must begin to learn about, think in line with, and act like Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer. A man, an example in Christ, I have often studied, quoted, talked about, taught about, and wrote about.
