A great story, released by his boyhood club-Blackburn Rovers after being Alan Shearer’s boot boy, Brett rebuilt his career at Accrington Stanley, then Blackpool and within a few years was at the top of his profession, playing in the Premier League for Southampton and the FA Cup Final.

A great story of the ups and downs of football and life and more importantly a great lad, thanks for sharing your ‘Football Life’ Brett.

After months of planning, my new YouTube channel titled ‘My Football Life’ is up and running.

Over the coming episodes, I will be chatting to guests about their ‘Football Life’.

Some news on the book front, despite some challenges and thanks to Murray Dawson and his team, the book is now ready as planned.
For subscribers, the signed copy will be available to be collected from the Market Hall shop from Friday 2nd July at 9am, with the postal subscriptions going out on Monday.
General release is Friday 9th with a book signing planned again in the Market Hall shop from 9am to 1pm.

Some last minute tweaks over the weekend before the book goes to print in June!

I’m blown away with the support l have had from people helping put it together as well as the subscribers, with a special thank you to David Davis who has made the whole thing possible!

I’m amazed and humbled that over 100 people have now subscribed before the 31st May deadline-thanks again to you all!

l am pleased it’s almost complete after 12 months of working on it, but happy with the outcome and hopefully you will enjoy it.

The book is coming along well, a real team effort and thanks to Steph, Debra, Peter, Tony, David and Iain who have all been helping in one way or another and everyone who has subscribed so far!
The financing of the book is a challenge to say the least, so the subscription is vital and various Accrington/Hyndburn pages refusing me permission to post is another problem l didn’t envisage!
Therefore l decided to start this page to help publicise the book and keep everyone updated on the progress and have done similar on Twitter.
Please feel free to invite people to the page if you think they may be interested in the project.
