The Paw Paw Clay Target team has wrapped up their first season in spectacular fashion! With a strong final week the team not only clinched a 4th place finish in an extremely competitive conference, their season scores also locked up a team bid to team Nationals. This puts them in the top 240 teams (out of more than 1700 total teams nationwide) in the United States.

Finishing in the top 25 in their state division were Zach Mahan (12th), Canyon Keller (14th) and Cody Connolly (20th), all with season hit rates over 76%. All three individually qualified for Nationals as well, placing them in the top 1800 nationally (out of just over 49K participants). Other team members who contributed to the success this year were Seniors Amelia Hurst and Jaxin Lovorn; and underclassmen Aalana Felcyn, Jackson Zache, Nate Johnson, Will Birkenback, and Logan Wolfe.

For a team that had no competitive shooting experience entering the season, the 2024 Red Wolves Clay Target Team has established a standard for future teams to strive to achieve.

With the final artwork graphic of the season, the Red Wolves Network broadcast team would like to thank everyone for both your support and your viewership for another great season of Red Wolves Football.

It has been a lot of fun bringing the games to fans on our YouTube channel. I want to make sure that I get a couple of shout outs in, (although it is nearly impossible to thank everyone who had an impact on our season without missing someone): In particular I would like to thank athletic Director Alan Farnquist for arranging space for us in not only our home booth at Falan Field, but at the visiting fields as well (that Thank you extends to all of the athletic directors in the conference who were so accommodating). I would also like to thank everyone who shared the link every week so the maximum number of people could enjoy the broadcast.

A special kind of gratitude goes to all of the parents, grandparents, relatives and friends who supported us both financially (since this is 100% volunteer it was super helpful for the little stuff like gas, new headsets to improve sound, and an upgraded usb hub and cables, broadcasting rights fees...among other things!) and with running commentary during the games. It makes the experience so much better to have all of you on board.

Here is where the shout out to our affiliate stations in Tampa, Midland, Wisconsin, and L’anse goes. Along with many other dedicated fans, we could always depend on their comments every week.

We are now on hiatus from football until next August. Look for us to broadcast a couple of other things along the way, and be sure to stay in touch with the page for any announcements.

We have been approved by the MHSAA to do audio only for tonight. Paw Paw Red Wolves Network Radio will go live on our normal YouTube channel at 6:55 pm.

Notes on the Niles game:

1. In a "it's better than nothing" moment we will be broadcasting a "radio version" of our game tonight. You will be able to hear Brent and Jason live on YouTube (free) with play by play.

2. Because we are the road team we are not allowed to do a video broadcast. Niles will be broadcasting to the NFHS Network.

3. If you already subscribed to the NFHS Network for last weeks game, you will be able to watch Nile's feed of the game on that network.

4. There is a significant delay between the NFHS feed and the you tube feed. We will go live early (6:55) if you want to try and sync our audio follow these steps (requires 2 devices and may or may not work depending on your own individual equipment...sorry its the best we can do...):

1) Turn on the you tube stream.
2) When you get to kickoff Pause Youtube stream
3) Turn on NFHS Stream and allow to play and wait for it to catch up
4) When you get to kick off on NFHS device unpause youtube stream device.

Some housekeeping for tonight.

1. While we have been given all the credentials and permissions, there was no time this week (being playoff week all over the state) to test it on our end. So bear with us as we work through all of the challenges of working with this Network. It has not been what we would call "easy" in the past. But we will do our best.

2. Since there is no chat on the NFHS net, we will do that in this thread. Please keep it as clean and real as possible.

3. If someone didn't want to spend $11.99 to get the video, do not shame them if they ask the score occasionally. Jason and I will try to answer but we get busy with other stuff so help us out if you can.

4. As always we will do the best we can to get the game to you. If something goes wrong post her. I will update here as well if we have issues.

5. We will have no real time viewrship numbers so we are assuming 10,000 ;)
