Mental illnesses can contribute to drug use and addiction. Trust me, I’m still in a current battle with my substance abuse. 🥃

(I have been more sober these last few weeks than I have been in a few years😆)

However, I would like to inspire those who are dealing with the same struggle to keep fighting!!!! God is the BEST trainer 🙌🏾💚

Left (January 23’): I was 225-230lbs, drinking every single day, eating whatever, not taking my meds consistently, NO DISCIPLINE.

Right (May 23’): I’m about 210 lbs, and now I’m all about discipline! I workout at least 3x a week, I meal prep and track my macros. Most importantly, I’m very mindful and I prioritize my relationship with God.

Even if you’re not diagnosed, you still may be suffering from symptoms. I just want to let you know, if I can do it, then there’s nothing stopping you!! 🌱

Hey, Greedy Gang! 👋🏾😁 My name is Abryana, you can call me “AB”. I think now is a great time for me to cordially introduce myself, since we’re official. 💚

I’m the creator/founder of Greedy Lifestyle, LLC 🌱. I created this lifestyle brand because I want to inspire those who struggle with mental illness, like myself, to become more resilient by prioritizing their diet through meal prep.

Throughout my early 20s, I was in and out of stress centers (psych wards) because I suffered with severe depression and anxiety that made it impossible for me to work, and continue with my college courses. At first I was only diagnosed with bipolar depression, but as my symptoms continued getting worse I was finally diagnosed Bipolar w/ psychotic features. My psychotic features, being psychosis, which is an abnormal condition of the mind that causes hallucinations and delusions.

During those years I developed a love for cooking. Which lead me to my first unofficial business, “Carter’s Cuisine” where I gained most of my following 😉💚. However, it didn’t take me long to realize that I do NOT want to be a chef and my passion is NOT cooking for others, but mostly myself.

I took a hiatus to study vegan cuisine, but ended up falling in love with the cuisine of other cultures.✨So now I’m focused on creating meal prep recipes that make me happy and align with my fitness goals. Also, meal prepping is a form of self-care!

I’m still on a journey trying to figure out exactly where I want to take Greedy Lifestyle, but I’m sure God has a lot in store for us! Stay Tuned 🌱

This ✨Almond Butter Protein Smoothie ✨is great for losing weight and gaining muscle. (Recipe below❗️)

Ingredients ✨
* 🍌 (1) banana
* 🍫 (2) tbsp pure cocoa powder
* 🌰 (1) tbsp almond butter
* 🥛2/3 cup vanilla almond milk
* 🍨1/2 cup Vanilla Greek yogurt
* 🍦1/4 tsp vanilla extract
* 🍫1 scoop chocolate protein powder

✨ Combine all ingredients in a high power blender.

Jerk Chicken & Shrimp
RECIPE✨

1. Season Shrimp & Chicken – in two sepearate bowls, season shrimp and chicken with salt and pepper to taste. Then add thyme, dill, salt, pepper, paprika, onion, garlic powder, and jerk seasoning until well coated.

2. Cook Chicken & Shrimp – heat avocado oil in iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and sauté until cooked, about 2-3 minutes, flipping at the halfway point. Add chicken and cook for 4-6 minutes on each side, depending on thickness. Remove and transfer to a plate; set aside and cover with as much honey drizzle as your heart desires. 🥰

Cilantro Lime Rice Recipe✨

Brown the rice:
Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan on medium high heat. Add the raw rice and stir to coat with the avocado oil. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the rice has started to brown.

Add the garlic and cook a minute more.

2. Add water, salt, zest, then simmer:
Add water, salt, and lime zest to the rice. Bring to a rolling boil, then cover and lower the heat to low to maintain a very low simmer. Cook undisturbed for 15 minutes (check your rice package instructions), then remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes.

Fluff the rice with a fork.

3. Stir in lime juice, green onions and cilantro:
Transfer the rice to a serving bowl. Pour lime juice over the rice and toss with chopped cilantro.

As for the fajitas✨ season with cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, cane sugar, and pepper. Sauté for about 6-8 minutes.

Salads are a great thing to meal prep and here’s a method to keep them fresh all week long! 💡🌱

• Choose firm salad greens that won’t wilt… such as romaine, kale, cabbage, or chard.

• Don’t add salad dressing when prepping lettuces!

• Prep salad ingredients, BUT store them separately… so your salad won’t get soggy🫠

• Use a glass storage container or mason jar.

• Limit how much liquid comes from ingredients.

• Make sure anything cooked is cooled down before assembling.

Honey Garlic Salmon
Glaze Recipe: 🍯

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter, add the soy sauce, honey, mirin, grated ginger and minced garlic. Mix to combine and simmer for about 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and let it cool for a couple of minutes.

Asian Slaw Recipe: 🥬

Combine the mayo, sriracha, and lime juice in a bowl and whisk until smooth.
In a large bowl, combine the coleslaw mix, green onion and cilantro. Pour the sauce over the top and use tongs to toss the mixture until evenly coated.
Serve chilled.

Lime Cilantro Cauliflower rice 🌿
Recipe:

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and saute for about 1 minute, until fragrant. Add the cauliflower rice, lime zest, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Stir-fry for 3 to 5 minutes, until cauliflower rice is soft. Remove from heat. Stir in the fresh cilantro.

I’ve been juicing my fruit smoothies lately… my two favorites are the Green Melon 🍏 & Sweet OJ 🍊💦😋

The OJ is my favorite because it provides me with so much energy thoughtout the day because of its natural sugars. Which are actually digested slower than added sugars and keep your metabolism stable over time.

After drinking 32 ounces of freshly pressed juice, all I need is one meal throughout the day. I only encourage one meal if your not moving a lot throughout the day.
