We’d like to take a moment to tip our hats and raise a glass to the great Warwick Davis. Davis recently received the 2025 BAFTA Fellowship, which recognizes his contribution to film and television. In his acceptance speech, Davis reflects on a long and memorable career, while also honoring his late wife, Samantha Davis, who he sadly lost just a year ago in March 2024. This is a horror podcast, but it exists because of our love of the genre first and foremost — and that includes the people responsible for maintaining the genre’s legacy. So as we continue our coverage of Mark Jones’ LEPRECHAUN, we’d be remiss (that’s for you, loyal listeners) to not recognize Davis’ timely, well-earned, and long overdue recognition from BAFTA. To Davis, his wife, Samantha, and their family, and to the many characters Davis brought to life over the last 40-odd years — here’s to you! 🍻
