Gov. Buni Charge Newly sworn-in High Court Judge, Kadi to execute their duties with fear of God
Yobe state Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, has charged newly sworn in High court Judge,
Justice Adamu Mohammed Jajere and Kasim Mohammed Kasim, Khadi, Sharia Court of Appeal, to have the fear of God in executing their duties in their new offices.
He stated this today at the swearing in ceremony of the two Judicial officers in Damaturu.
"I am pleased to state that your appointments were based on merit. I, therefore, have no doubt that you will use your wealth of experience to execute the duties of your office with a high sense of responsibility and competence.
"May I remind you that this is a huge trust vested in you by your creator, to whom you will account for your actions. Therefore, you should be fair, just and most importantly have the fear of Allah (SWT) in executing your duties" he said.
Gov. further urged the officers to be fair and just "As the saying goes, "the Judiciary is the last hope of the common man”. It is expected that your appointments as a Judge of the High Court and Khadi of the Sharia Court of Appeal, will contribute to the quick dispensation of justice to avoid the scenario of "Justice delayed, is Justice denied".
He explained that "ln Yobe state, we enjoy a very excellent working relationship between the Executive and Judicial arms of government, l enjoin you to work in harmony with your colleagues and staff and contribute to the peaceful relationship between the two arms of government for the benefit of the good people of Yobe state.
"Let me also reassure you of the state government's commitment to supporting the Judiciary to discharge its duties effectively and efficiently to promote quick dispensation of justice. This government under my watch will be alive to its responsibilities for justice to be promoted" he stressed.
