This story starts with James White, who bought a property called the Overtoun Farm in 1859. He built the Overtoun House three years later in 1862. When White died in 1884, his son, John Campbell White, inherited the house and its estate and started planning to extend the driveway of the house across a deep ravine in order to provide easier access. The bridge was completed in June of 1895. During the 1950s, locals started referring to the bridge as the "Bridge of Death" or the "Dog Su***de Bridge", as it was reported that dogs were leaping from the bridge into the ravine below. The mystery of why dogs become possessed to jump has never been solved, but many theories persist, ranging from the scientific to the supernatural…

The Logan Inn, located in New Hope Pennsylvania, and it is very famously known to be haunted by no fewer than 8 ghosts at a time. The most famous of them all is actually the haunting of room 6, which is actually likely to be a few different ghosts. But despite how haunted the Inn is, all of these ghosts seem to be quite friendly, and is probably a good place for what we’d call a “beginner” haunting experience. This haunted Inn is definitely on our list of places we’d like to visit some day. The Byford Dolphin was a semi-submersible column-stabilized drilling rig that was operated by Dolphin Drilling. When it was built in 1974, it was one of the more advanced drilling rigs at the time… but what happened on Saturday, November 5th, 1983 at 4am made it clear that it had not stayed the most advanced drilling rigs. Andrew Gosden, known by friends and family as “Roo,” lived in South Yorkshire. By all accounts, he was a normal kid - he had a few close friends, was very academically driven but involved in the Church and in other activities like Cub Scouts. He was the kind of kid who was expected to go to Cambridge one day. That all changed in 2007, when he didn’t go to school and instead boarded a train to London. Andrew Gosden was never seen again. But over the years, people have thought they made contact… this story is still unfolding and we will update you when we know more, but for now we hope you enjoy this episode and if you have any information please do share it with the relevant authorities.

In 1934, Alcatraz was remade/rebranded as the world’s most secure prison… and was made even more cold and secure than its previous island-surrounded-by-cold-and-foreboding-waters made it out to be. The redesign included tougher iron bars, a series of strategically positioned guard towers, and strict rules, including a dozen checks a day of the prisoners. Despite this, from 1934 to when the prison closed in 1963, 36 men tried 14 separate escapes. Nearly all were caught or didn’t survive the attempt. But three men may have made it out…

Claudia Lawrence was born in Malton, North Yorkshire in 1974. While her parents were both in the law field, after her early education she went to a local catering college where she qualified as a chef. After working at hotels and restaurants in York, she eventually settled at Goodricke College in the University of York in 2006. While she never had any serious relationships, she did have a very vibrant social life and was quite close with her parents too. Everything was looking great for her, up until Thursday March 19th when she didn’t show up to her 6am shift.. or drinks with her friend after… or anything after that either. To this date, we don’t know what happened to Claudia Lawrence, but we can only hope that her family will one day find closure about what happened to her.

There is a road, an “old path” if you will, in southeast Nebraska. And according to the local lore, in the 1900s there were seven women who were murdered on this road. So this legend has been kind of circulating for more than a century so there are a ton of variations and add ons and honestly even more sightings and spooky occurrences. Lots of sevens in today’s story: from seven sisters to seven hills.

Rebecca Coriam, a Disney Crew member on the Disney Wonder, sent her last message to her parents on March 21st 2011 saying she would call the next day. However, when she didn't call or show up for work the next morning, the crew understandably got worried. From there began a series of investigations that frankly left more to be desired. Nobody knows what exactly happened from when she was last seen on CCTV at 5:45am. Was it a 100 foot rogue wave that mysteriously appeared in calm waters like Disney suggests? Did she decide to take her own life even though she had made future plans? Honestly, I don't think we'll ever know. But all we can say for sure is we hope Rebecca Coriam's family and friends may one day find peace.

Joseph Roy Metheny was born on March 2nd 1955, and he was the type of murderer and ra**st to declare himself a serial killer who killed 13 people, there was only sufficient evidence that he murdered 2 people in the Baltimore area. He said “My murder rampage started out as revenge but ended up as a passion for the taste of blood and the overwhelming sense of power one gets for taking the life of another.” And that’s not even the beginning. If you want to learn more, stay tuned for this episode… where let’s just say I’m glad to be vegetarian.
