This coming Saturday at ABRA Studio, I will play an Ecstatic Dance set with the amazing Olga Lipka. Her music will allow us to connect more deeply with ourselves and others. It will also give me the opportunity to be with you during our dance journey.
Olga Lipka is a DJ and spaceholder for the Ecstatic Dance practice. She regularly leads conscious movement sessions on a variety of themes in Warsaw and Minsk.
Her musical inspirations are incredibly diverse—ranging from her classical music education to a deep fascination with Afro-Brazilian and Eastern cultures during her practice of capoeira and yoga, all the way to the folk sounds of Slavic traditional music. Along with a group of women in exile, she creates a space for vocal therapy, singing folk songs using the White Voice technique. She weaves all these influences into her sets, crafting a musical wave that guides participants from delicate rhythms to dynamic, energetic sounds.
