Beyond the Canvas is a 6-episode show about art and the artists behind it. Because when we look at a painting, we often don't realize how many different thoughts and hours of painful work are concealed behind each stroke. We feel the right to judge it, without realizing that what we're judging are not just colors on a canvas, but a piece of somebody's life; somebody brave enough to expose their soul and reveal their vulnerabilities. Somebody who doesn't see art as an object, but as a living thing.

Meet the minds of five artists: Phil Hale, Jeremy Mann - Artist, Alberto Mielgo, Nadezda, and Karla Ortiz. This Wednesday stay tuned for the first episode.

It is produced by Kampala based company Crossroads Digital multimedia Ltd. According to Crossroads Profile: “Crossroads bring stories to life through African cartoon films, comics and series inspired by the local culture.

is an award winning animation studio and production house with a creative design inspired by Ugandan culture. Our cartoons are entertaining, relatable, and educational with a wide audience appeal.
