[ FIGHTING FOR HER LIFE ]

Tonight, we welcome 8 week old Labradoodle Maggie.

She was purchased last week off Kijiji, and she’s been sick ever since. Runny nose. Vomiting (regurgitation?). Upper respiratory.

She was brought to Emerg last night in the owners home town and megaesophagus was put on the table as a possible diagnosis.

The family does not have further funds or manageability for the care needed for a special needs dog.

The family was quoted $10,000 - $20,000 in potential surgical care and hospitalization.

The “breeder” refunded their purchase price, but didn’t want the puppy back.

Euthanasia was considered, but thankfully, they opted to surrender her to Mattie's Place tonight instead.

She is currently at Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital - TVEH and they are running extensive testing and a redo of the imaging to get a clearer picture of what’s happening with this pup.

Estimate for the next 48 hours, that is diagnosis based only is $3,500 - $5,200. Estimate is in the comments as Facebook wouldn't let me add another photo to this post. If surgical intervention is required or further diagnosis, this will begin to climb and triple or more in cost. Maggie is worth every $.

I don’t know what her end costs are going to be. We need to get a diagnosis first. I do know she is a sick puppy and really needs our help.
