Santa came to the Town of Holden Beach during the tree lighting on Thursday. He was welcomed to town with terrific performances by the South Brunswick High School band and chorus!

🎄✨ Thursday Update: Calabash Christmas Is Almost Here! ✨🎄

The countdown is on, Calabash! This year’s celebration will be a little more condensed and weather-friendly, but still full of Christmas spirit!

Friday, Dec 5, 6-8 pm, may bring a little rain, but it never dampens our Christmas cheer. We’re preparing a celebration filled with lights, music, cocoa, and holiday magic.

Here’s everything we have planned to make this a night to remember:

🎅 Calabash Christmas Parade Starts at 6:00 pm
Enjoy a 30-minute parade to kick off the evening with plenty of Christmas cheer. Road closures begin around 5:45 pm.

🚒 Santa Arrives on the Calabash Fire Department’s Firetruck
Watch for the sparkle as Santa makes his grand entrance through town!

🎁 Meet Santa Under the Wrap-Around Porch at St. Nick Nack's
After the parade and during the Tree Lighting festivities, Santa will be greeting families under the porch - a dry spot for photos and Christmas wishes.

🎶 Chelsea Robson Live Performance Immediately after Parade
Chelsea will be filling the evening with Christmas music by the tree, and we’ll gather around it for carols if the weather allows.

✨ Children’s Tent Hosted by WBHS Key Club Volunteers
Pick up your reindeer food, write your letter to Santa, and tons of smiles are waiting for your little ones.

💌 Letters to Santa
Kids can drop their letters into the official Calabash North Pole Mailbox and receive a reply from the North Pole.

🍫 Hot Cocoa, Cookies, and Snacks
Warm up with marshmallows, sweet treats, and cozy drinks. We’ll have complimentary cookies, snacks, and PB&J sandwiches for our younger guests.

🎄 Tree Lighting Ceremony
We’ll keep it simple and weather-friendly, but the tree will shine bright, and we can’t wait to share that moment with you.

🎁 Donation Drop-Off for the Calabash Christmas Giving Foundation
Help spread joy to local children and seniors by donating to our local nonprofit that helps schools and charities in southern Brunswick County.

🧣 Dress Warmly
Raincoats, hats, jackets, and an umbrella will make the evening more comfortable.

The Town of Shallotte kicked off the season with a terrific tree lighting event last night! The Academy of Coastal Carolina and Cedar Grove Middle School provided the music and Santa even made an appearance!
