We would like to address what's been happening out there in the world of late. Usually, we would refrain from bringing up political and controversial topics, but this instance is much more than about politics. This is about human rights and compassion.
First of all, we are heartbroken over the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis. We are heartbroken about the current state of our society, and our country.
We as a society must do a much better job at seeing right from wrong. Here at Rhythmz Radio, we strive to be as family-oriented as possible. We want everyone to get along, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation, whether you're white, black, Asian, Latino, or Native American. We will never discriminate nor will we ever tolerate any form of discrimination.
We strive to be as transparent as possible to all of our staff members and listeners regarding our decision making, without sacrificing confidential information that is sensitive to both us administrators and our members.
Second of all, we respect and support the right to protest. However, we strongly disagree with the amount of violence that has boiled over from the rioting.
We understand people's frustrations. However, to move on forward and to be better members and contributors of society, we must learn to love each other again. We must learn to respect each other's views and differences in opinion. Furthermore, we must learn to address critical issues in a way that is conducive to us advancing in a positive direction as a society.
Rhythmz Radio does not condone any police brutality against any race, creed, or religion. But we also stand for those in law enforcement as long as they are doing their jobs without the brutality. They are the ones who also put their lives on the line for everyone for a safer and more secure community that we all strive for. We must be the ones to make the difference instead of depending on everyone else to do it for us.
We here at Rhythmz Radio would also like to state that we strive to be as bypartisan as possible to all situations. Therefore, please understand that we will not stand for any wrongdoing from any race, creed, or religion no matter the situation. Whether it'd be political or community driven, we will only stand for the peace of our community and safety of the human race.
Let us all play a part in making this world a better place. We must all do our part in bridging this racial divide in our society. We can all do better.
Lastly, as always, we hope everyone has been staying safe still with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Those who have not been actively participating in the protests should still be following the stay-at-home orders, or at least adhering to proper physical distancing measures.
Let's all do our best to stay positive during these uncertain and volatile times, and keep the rhythm in our heartbeat.
