The South L.A. location where the rapper was killed is open for business Tuesday.

We're told the restaurant was fully functioning and had been cleaned after Monday's shooting, but understandably, there aren't many customers sitting down to eat.

What's more, we're told employees who were working during the shooting were given the day off.

Queen Elizabeth II is under medical supervision at her summer residence in Scotland after doctors raised concerns about the 96-year-old monarch’s health, Buckingham Palace said Thursday, as members of the royal family rushed to be at her side.

“Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision,″ a palace spokesperson said, speaking on condition of anonymity in line with customary policy. “The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”

The palace declined to provide further details about the queen’s condition, but there were worrying signs that it might be serious. A Cabinet minister interrupted Truss during a debate in the House of Commons to inform her about Elizabeth’s condition and family members canceled long-planned engagements to travel to the Highlands.

Prince Charles, the heir to the throne, along with his wife, Camilla, and sister, Princess Anne, were with the queen at Balmoral Castle, her summer residence in Scotland. Members of the royal family traveled by plane to Scotland. Prince William, Charles’ eldest son, was among the royals en route to Balmoral, as were his brother, Prince Harry, and Harry’s wife, Meghan.

has declared a state of emergency in as a result of "a water crisis" in the state capital of Jackson, the White House said late Tuesday night.

Jackson is grappling with multiple water problems - there's been too much on the ground after heavy rainfall in the past week, and not enough safe water coming through the pipes for people to use.
Parts of Jackson were without running water Tuesday because flooding exacerbated longstanding problems in one of two water-treatment plants.

The city of 150,000 had already been under a boil-water notice for a month because the Health Department found cloudy water that could cause digestive problems. Long lines have formed each day for limited supplies of bottled water at distribution sites.

31/08/2022

According to provisional data published Wednesday by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, life expectancy at birth dropped by nearly a year between 2020 and 2021 -- and by more than two and a half years overall since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Life expectancy at birth fell to 76.1 years, the lowest it has been in the US since 1996, and the biggest 2-year decline in a century.

The biggest decline was among Native Americans, whose life expectancy in 2021 plummeted to 65, the age of eligibility for Medicare; in a single year, Native Americans forfeited nearly two years of life. White people had the second-biggest drop, losing a full year of life expectancy, while Black people lost 0.7 years.

Covid-19 was the driving factor, with deaths from the virus contributing to half of the decline from 2020 to 2021, according to the report from the CDC's National Center for Health Statistics.

Also, drug overdose deaths reached a record high in 2021, killing about 109,000 people. And deaths from unintentional injuries -- about half of which are due to drug overdose -- was the second-leading cause of the decline in life expectancy.

As of October 1st all advertisements and marketing communications in Nigeria must only use talent that is native to , as stated by the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria. This makes Nigerian the first country to legally ban white talent from ad campaigns.

This means companies will only be able to source local Nigerian talent. Whether it’s for modeling, acting, or voiceovers in their marketing campaigns. Current advertising campaigns with foreigners can continue but moving forward there will be no new permits for ads consisting of those foreign to Nigeria.

The decision comes along with the government’s efforts to develop local talent and build economic growth. In the past, Nigeria only relied on foreign models and voiceover experts in their marketing campaigns. Companies would mainly hire white models or British voiceovers and the government has decided this needed to change.

Say what? A lottery winner who scooped ÂŁ10,000 a month for the next 30 years has been dumped by his partner and claims she has cut him off from the jackpot because the winning ticket was bought in her name.

Laura Hoyle, 40, and Kirk Stevens, 39, from Nottingham, won the jackpot in the National Lottery’s Set For Life draw – a total of £3.6million split over 30 years.

Mr Stevens had been letting Miss Hoyle live with him in his £240,000 three-bedroom house for free as he ‘didn’t expect her to pay rent’ – with the agreement that she would be the one to pay £25 a week for lottery tickets.

A woman who transitioned to a man is suing her psychiatrist for professional negligence after he approved her hormone therapy despite only seeing her for a single appointment.

, then 19, first met psychiatrist on May 7, 2010, after telling a doctor she 'had always felt she was a boy rather than a girl', a statement of claim filed in the NSW Supreme Court said.

Jay was assessed by Dr Toohey to determine if she was suitable for transition treatment and, following a single meeting, Dr Toohey ruled that she suffered from gender dysphoria and signed off on the therapy going ahead.

However, in court documents seen by Daily Mail Australia, Jay alleges the recommendation was made despite him admitting she had social phobia and didn't know that 'psychological factors could influence the outcome of gender transition'.

Dr Toohey also 'strongly' recommended that Ms Langadinos receive social and family therapy, though she didn't receive either. Despite this, the doctor later approved surgeries to remove her breasts and womb as part of the transition.

Now, aged 31, Ms Langadinos is suing Dr Toohey for professional negligence and claims he failed to take the necessary precautions over her transition.

Multnomah County grand jury has ordered to pay $4.4 million in damages to a man who sued the store, saying he was racially profiled and harassed by a Walmart employee at a Portland, Ore.-area store in 2020.

The death of a soldier assigned to a military police unit deployed to Wiesbaden has sparked online claims of foul play.

According to a news release from U.S. Army Europe and Africa, Pfc. , 27, a soldier in the 139th Military Police, died Aug. 9 in a noncombat-related incident while on temporary duty at Wiesbaden, Germany.

However, the circumstances surrounding Montgomery’s death is being considered suspicious by family.

According to a public Facebook post by Montgomery’s aunt, Michelle Espinoza, Montgomery was attacked by three members of her unit, two men and one woman. In the attack, the assailants covered Montgomery’s mouth and beat her, taking her phone.

It goes on to say Montgomery “miraculously” escaped the attack, which she documented but chose not to file it in because she “wanted to wait for her to get back to the States.”

Montgomery was found unresponsive in her barracks room on Lucious Clay Kaserne, according to the release. It said emergency services were immediately called and the scene was secured until the emergency crews arrived.

Montgomery was pronounced dead at the scene and the case is under investigation by the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division, the release said.

was walking through Gonaives, Haiti, on his way to a New Year's Eve party to ring in 2018 when he spotted a large crowd and approached it.

“When I got to the place where the people were making noise I saw a baby," said Amisial, 22 at the time and visiting his homeland on a break from school in Texas. "It was in a pile of trash crying, and there wasn't a single soul who wanted to do anything about it."

While the locals were afraid to touch the infant because they feared the child was either cursed or evil, Amisial said, he nervously picked him up.

"He had no clothes on. He had fire ants crawling all over him because he's been there for a couple of hours. When I picked him up he immediately stopped crying."

In 2019, Amisial decided to start the process to formally adopt the child he had named but he quickly ran into obstacles as the process turned out to be costly.

On July 27 he set up an online fundraiser to help raise money for Emilio's adoption fees.

Amisial set a goal of $60,000, and as of Friday morning he had raised over $79,000.

"My mom and I had an automatic connection with him. He calls me Dad.
