Two charged after repeated break and enters - Inner West - Saturday, 29 July 2023 09:05:32 AM

Detectives have charged a man and a woman after a community centre in Marrickville was targeted in multiple break and enter offences in recent months.

Between February and June 2023, a community centre on Addison Road was allegedly broken into several times. Various items, including cash, was stolen from the location.

Following extensive inquires, a 45-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman were arrested at a club in Ashfield on Friday 28 July 2023.

They were taken to Burwood Police Station, where the man was charged with six counts of break & enter house etc steal value

Three charged and puppy located following alleged theft - Eastgardens - Friday, 21 July 2023 04:04:56 PM

Three men have been charged as an allegedly stolen puppy was recovered from the state’s south.

About 1.40pm on Monday 3 July 2023, police will allege in court that three men allegedly stole an eight-week-old puppy from a pet store on Bunnerong Road, Eastgardens.

Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command were notified commenced an investigation into the incident.

Following inquiries, officers from Murray River Police District arrested a 31-year-old man in Albury on Wednesday 5 July 2023. He was taken to Albury Police Station, where he was charged with shoplifting.

The man was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear before Waverley Local Court on Wednesday 9 August 2023.

Following further inquiries, investigators arrested two men, aged 21 and 22, in Albury on Monday (17 July 2023).

Both were taken to Albury Police Station, where they were charged with steal dog, shoplifting, dishonestly obtain property by deception, and smoke in smoke-free area.

Both men were refused bail and appeared at Albury Local Court on Tuesday (18 July 2023), where they were both formally refused bail to appear before the same court on Tuesday 8 August 2023.

Following further inquiries, investigators attended a home in Lavington, where they allegedly found the stolen puppy about 4.30pm yesterday (Thursday 20 July 2023).

Inquiries are continuing.

Man and woman charged following pursuit across Sydney's west - Friday, 21 July 2023 01:00:50 AM

About 9.50am yesterday (Thursday 20 July 2023), officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command were conducting patrols when they detected an allegedly stolen vehicle travelling through Casula.

The pursuit was terminated a short time later due to safety concerns. PolAir continued to monitor the vehicle before it crashed on North Rocks Road at North Rocks just after 11am yesterday.

The driver – a 39-year-old man – and passenger – a 37-year-old woman – were arrested at the scene and taken to Ryde Police Station.

The woman was charged with six offences including possess unregistered firearm in public place, aggravated break and enter, and stealing.

The man was charged with 20 offences including possess unregistered firearm in public place, police pursuit - not stop - drive dangerously, aggravated break and enter, fraud and stealing.

They were both refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Friday 21 July 2023).

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man wanted in Sydney’s CBD.

Robert Ives, aged 43, is wanted for outstanding warrants in relation to property offences.

Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command have conducted inquiries into his whereabouts; however, have been unable to locate him.

Robert is of Caucasian appearance, medium build and light brown hair.

He is known to frequent Sydney’s CBD and surrounding areas.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers NSW on 1800 333 000.

Police are appealing for information as they investigate an act of malicious damage in Sydney’s east.

About 12.15pm on Monday 3 July 2023, a wall on the corner of Burton and West Streets, Kings Cross was spraypainted.

Officers from Kings Cross Police Area Command have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police have released images of a man and woman who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is believed to be in his late 20s; Caucasian in appearance, of medium build, wearing a grey t-shirt, black pants, and a grey beanie.

The woman is believed to be aged in her late 20’s, Caucasian appearance, of medium build, wearing black pants, black top, white sneakers and a black and white cap.

Three teenagers charged following robbery - Sydney CBD - Wednesday, 19 July 2023 08:29:32 AM

Three teenagers have been charged following a robbery in the Sydney CBD last week.

Two of the males were apprehended and searched, with police locating knives, knuckle dusters, drugs, and property linked to an alleged robbery that occurred moments prior.

Police were told a teenager threatened three boys with a knife before assaulting one of boys and stealing another’s jacket.

The two teens were arrested and taken to Day Street Police Station.

An 18-year-old was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon, common assault, and custody of knife in public place.

He was refused bail and appeared before Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 13 July 2023, where he was granted condition bail to appear before the same court on Thursday 7 September 2023.

A 16-year-old was charged with robbery in company, possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, and possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail and appeared before a children’s court on Thursday 13 July 2023, where he was granted condition bail to appear before the same court on Wednesday 23 August 2023.

Following inquiries, another teenager – aged 15 – was arrested on Sussex Street, Sydney, around 4pm yesterday (Tuesday 18 July 2023).

He was taken to Day Street Police Station where he was charged with robbery in company and refused bail to appear before a children’s court today (Wednesday 19 July 2023).

Man charged over multiple robberies - Richmond PD

On arrival police were told a man had allegedly broken into the business threatening a 41-year-old man with a pistol before fleeing the scene with cash and personal items.

The same day about 8.10am a man entered a recreational centre on Stewart Street, Lennox Head, allegedly threatening a 30-year-old man and two women aged 38 and 35 with a pistol before detaining them in the business.

The man then allegedly fled the scene on a bicycle with cash. Following inquiries police arrested a 41-year-old man on Rayner Lane, Lennox Head.

He was taken to Ballina Police Station where he was charged with special aggravated break, enter and steal, robbery armed with dangerous weapon and three counts of detain for advantage.

He has been refused bail to appear before Lismore Local Court tomorrow (Saturday 15 July 2023).

Man charged following alleged break and enter attempts -

A man has been charged following two alleged attempted break and enter incidents at Bar Beach last night.

About 9pm (Thursday 13 July 2023), police were called to Memorial Drive, Bar Beach, following reports of an alleged attempted break and enter.

At the scene, police were told that a man allegedly attempted to gain entry to the premises before fleeing.

It is also believed that the man gained access to a parked vehicle before allegedly stealing keys and various cards.

A short time later, police from Newcastle City Police District attempted to stop a man at a property on the same road.

The man allegedly ran from police; however, was arrested following a short struggle.

The Queanbeyan man, aged 20, was taken to Newcastle Police Station where he was charged with two counts of attempted break and enter dwelling-house etc with intent (steal), enter inclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse, larceny, possess housebreaking implements, and custody of knife in public place.

He first appeared before Newcastle Local Court today (Friday 14 July 2023), where he was formally refused bail to appear before the same court on Thursday 27 July 2023.

Two charged after armed robbery - Ashfield

A man and a teenage girl have been charged after an armed robbery at Ashfield Railway Station on Wednesday.

Police were told a man threatened a 21-year-old woman with a machete before stealing her bag and mobile phone.

She suffered a laceration to her finger and was treated on scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

Officers executed a search warrant at an address in Whalan. Several items connected to the robbery were seized during the search of the property. A 24-year-old man and a 17-year-old teenage girl were arrested at the property and taken to Mount Druitt Police Station.

The man was charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon and common assault. He was bail refused to appear before Mount Druitt Local Court today (Friday 14 July 2023).

The teenage girl was charged with four counts of dishonestly obtain financial advantage etc by deception. She will appear before a children’s court on Monday 24 July 2023.
