Rosato + Arancello + finnochietto = 😃
Hi! I moved to the Netherlands for work, sight-unseen...in the middle of the pandemic. I know right?
Rosato + Arancello + finnochietto = 😃
Spent the afternoon playing in makeup with the lovely .0ng 😍

I've spoken about my dear sisterfriend Amy before. We lost her three years ago today.
With love in my heart...I would like to ask you to help me raise 1000 dollars for Amy's Memorial Scholarship fund! It helps students pay for course fees for the SUISS Creative Writing Course at the University of Edinburgh. Amy did a summer abroad with this program 🙂
Can we raise that much by the end of the month? I think so.**
Please help keep the scholarship fully funded. When you donate, can you also share the link?
Thank you. ❤ What is grief, if not love persevering?
**link is in the comments :)
It’s ♋️ season 🤗
Finally got to see the new exhibitions in Almhult! Did you know IKEA has its own museum in the city where it was born? It’s pretty cool…my unbiased opinion 🙃
🍦Icecream season is short here, so we gotta take advantage of it when we can.
When we got engaged in the middle of the pandemic, if you had told me we would be taking engagement photos in The Hague in front of parliament…
About to share a bunch of photos of us taken around the city that has been our home for the last two years. I hope you don’t mind 🫣
If I turned the camera 1cm you’d see IKEA in the background 🫠. There’s an entire nature reserve/farm behind the building. And these are the sweetest heifers around.
The sun is out in The Netherlands…for now.
Looking for something to do in ?
There’s theJapanese Garden in Clingendael Park:
The Japanese Garden is located in the middle of Clingendael Park. You will find rare trees and plants in the garden. Because the garden is quite old and fragile, it is open only 8 weeks in the year.

It’s been one of THOSE travel days - the kind where you hope to be home by noon but instead you’re in 4 different countries by 3pm and praying you can be home by April. Currently in Hamburg airport 🫣😫 my first time in Deutscheland!
One last meal before I head back home. Malmo’s is close to central station and perfect for when you just need something warm in your belly. This no-fuss noodle bar only had 5 types of ramen on the menu (4 of which have the ol 🌶️ warning for spicy 😉)
This week marks 2 years in AND Jason’s birthday. We celebrated with Korean bbq, a walk on the beach, snowboarding at snow world and some fondue!
We have gotten into the routine of work, sleep, eat, repeat. But we promise to make the best of 2023.
Quick trip to the US for research purposes 🫣👀👀
Grateful for this week of ☀️sunshine even if it did (barely) snow like 45 minutes before this picture 🫣❄️. I took Archie for a romp in the bosje at lunch. 🐾🌲

This week’s travel book
“drink water. eat fruit. moisturize your skin. take long showers. speak your feelings. mind your own business. understand. forgive. and heal.”
I forgot I changed my weather app BACK to Fahrenheit, saw 30 degrees this morning and nearly lost my mind! I thought it was end of days 😫🫠
30c and 30f are VERY different vibes.
Our first ‘light’ snowfall of the season. It’s pretty but I still miss the sun - Desperately. 😫

I think I have a windmill phobia. Is that a real thing?
Can’t travel without eyewear options.

The is beautiful, but can get busy - especially in the summer. American tourists seem to like Amalfi ,specifically, according to our guides.
A drive along the coast will take you to Sorrento which is less touristy and just as gorgeous. And behind the lemons…is the notorious Mt. Vesuvius. The volcanic rich soil yields the most amazingly vibrant fruits: avocados, lemons, grapes, olives, oranges. The unusually warm winter means fruit is blooming even in January.
Do you want to know more about making the most of 48 hours in Italy? I can share what we did. Let me know in the comments. ✌🏾

Happy New Year! I hope you had a safe one. Next year I’m staying home! LOL
Did you go out for ?
Den Haag - Royal Christmas Market (we just spent 50€ on food lol)
It's that time of year again! As we start thinking about what to get our loved ones for Christmas, let's not forget about the impact our gifts can have on the environment. This year, consider buying sustainable gifts that are kind to the planet.
There are so many great options out there, like reusable water bottles, locally-made food items, and even potted plants that can be enjoyed for years to come. Not only will these gifts reduce waste, they will also show that you care about the well-being of our planet.
So this holiday season, let's make a conscious effort to choose gifts that are sustainable and environmentally friendly. Our planet will thank us, and so will the recipients of our gifts!

Christmas markets, also known as "kerstmarkten" in Dutch and "marchés de Noël" in French, are a beloved holiday tradition in the Netherlands and Belgium. These festive markets are held in towns and cities across both countries and offer a wide variety of seasonal treats, gifts, and activities for visitors to enjoy. One of the most famous Christmas markets in the Netherlands is the Sinterklaasfeest, held annually in the city of Utrecht. This market is named after Sinterklaas, the Dutch version of Santa Claus, and features traditional Dutch treats like speculaas (spiced cookies) and oliebollen (doughnuts). Visitors can also enjoy caroling, ice skating, and other festive activities. Other popular Christmas markets in the Netherlands and Belgium include the Christmas market in Maastricht, the Christmas market in Bruges, and the Amsterdam Light Festival.
Walked around the corner at work and saw this cute little photo corner.
