45 YEAR-OLD TUNDE THOMAS DIES AFTER WIFE TOLD HIM HER BOSS, FCMB MD, ADAM NURU OWNS THEIR ONLY TWO KIDS-

Tunde Thomas (alias Tunde Gentle), 45, died about two weeks ago from heartbreak.

The two kids from his marriage were discovered to have been fathered by the current managing director of the First City Merchant Bank (FCMB), Mr. Adam Nuru, who was his wife’s boss.

Tunde’s wife, Moyo Thomas (Nee Ojo), was reportedly engaged in an office romance with her MD, a relationship that was well known to all in the bank.

Happily married Billionaire Nuhu, while he got carried away in fornicating with Moyo, spared no thought for Tunde who was bringing up the two children he thought belonged to him.

Those in the know say Tunde was so in love with and attached to his wife and children that he spent most of his resources on them. He took them to London and Dubai on holidays.

He also spared no penny in putting the kids in the best schools.

At the height of the shameful relationship and when the older child was about eight (8) years old, Moyo suddenly resigned from FCMB and travelled to the US with the two children, ostensibly on holiday.

It was when the school session started in Nigeria and the children were not returned that Tunde started asking questions and the lady finally summoned the courage to tell him the children were not his.

She then went to the extent of filing for asylum in the US on the ground of marital violence in Nigeria, against Tunde, a man known to all men by his gentle and easygoing disposition. Her aim, we learnt, was to get the Green Card and also get Tunde barred from entering the US,so she would not be able to look him in the eye and tell him the bitter truth.

Not long after receiving the sad news in 2017, Tunde reportedly suffered stroke. He recovered frm the stroke but said to hv become a shadow of his former self, as he would often cry without reason.

As he got over the illness, Tunde was said to have tried to pick up the pieces of his life. He reportedly started another relationship with a lady lawyer. Soon, he invited some friends to accompany him to visit the lady’s parents on 26th December 2020.

However, the visit was not to be. Tunde was said to have got home from work in the night of 15th December 2020 and collapsed at his residence's staircase. He died instantly.

Autopsy report puts the cause of his death as 'heart failure'.

Tunde Gentle, a former staff of the defunct Oceanic Bank, was buried on Wednesday, 30th of December 2020.

ASUU agreed to end strike today – Ngige

The Federal Government says it has delivered on offers made to the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

This was in reaction to the claim by the President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Prof Biodun Ogunyemi, that the government had failed to deliver on offers made to the union.

Ogunyemi had blamed the FG for union’s failure to call off the strike, noting that the lecturers would not return to classes until their salary arrears were paid.

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, on Tuesday, however, revealed that ASUU agreed at their last meeting with the government team on November 27 to call off their nine-month-old strike before December 9.

“The truth of the matter is that a ‘gentleman agreement’ was reached at the last meeting in which ASUU agreed to call off the strike before December 9, 2020, and the minister, in turn, agreed that once the strike is called off, he would get a presidential waiver for ASUU to be paid the remainder of their salaries on or before December 9,” Ngige stated.

This was contained in a statement from Ngige media office on Tuesday, titled, ‘We have kept our promises to ASUU – FG.’

Ngige said it was false and discomfiting for ASUU to wrongly inform the public that the government agreed to pay all withheld salaries before it would resume work, stressing that the timelines attached to the various offers made to the union had been complied with.

The minister stated, “The N40b Earned Academic Allowances have also been processed just as the N30bn revitalisation funds, bringing it to N70bn. Likewise, the visitation panels for the universities have been approved by the President but the panel cannot perform its responsibilities until the shut universities are re-opened.

“The gazetting is also being rounded off at the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation while the Ministry of Education is ready to inaugurate the various visitation panels.”

He disclosed that “they were paid for February and March, after which it was extended to April, May and June, months they were on strike on compassionate ground, bringing it to five months.”

The statement added, “Asking the government to pay these four months before it goes back to work means ASUU is placing itself above the law of the land and no government will encourage it as it is a recipe for chaos in the labour milieu.”

Meanwhile, the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has said that the eight-month long strike by ASUU was an indication that university lecturers had not taken into consideration the larger challenges facing the country.

“Government conceded something. The problem is that they refused to look at the problem of the whole country. The Minister of Labour is working hard at it. It is amazing how ASUU will stay out of classrooms for so long. There’s a need for our elite to understand the challenges facing the country,” The President added.

This is truly from my heart, and this is why I won't get tired of saying it.

When you meet a new heart and you discover you are in love with it, what wise people do is to take a careful look at that heart and see how things are arranged. If there is nothing you are bringing into that heart to make it better, gently leave it the way you met it.

While you are at that, allow her to equally look through your heart and make the same decision as you did. Don't expect her to love you simply because you think you love her. If your love is genuine, she will see it. No one sees a genuine love and not reciprocate even if it may not be the way you expect it to be reciprocated.

You have worked so hard to make enough money. We all love money. But in matters of the heart, do not think money is heart and heart is money. Some people have turned down a multi-Billionaire for a man earning 50k per week. Some have turn down a man earning 50k per week for a billionaire. The difference is not counted in money but in choice, and no one's choice is better. Every choice has its own challenges.

As funny as it may seem, one of the toughest decisions a man would make is choosing a wife. On the flip side, one of the easiest decision is choosing a girlfriend. The way men think when asking a girl to be their girlfriend is not the way they think when asking a girl to be their wives. This is why the women most men end up marrying, may look nothing close to the women they once dated.

And if you are a woman and you think all your mates are getting married leaving you behind and immediately you conclude that you have a spiritual problem, that may just be the beginning of the real spiritual problem because you will soon see yourself jumping from one pastor to the other over nothing... And looking so unkept due to all the fasting, prayers and vigils you have been given to do. That alone is enough spiritual problem.

At the end, as hard as it is to accept, not all women will find husbands, and not all men will find wives. Again, not all married men and women will remain married till death, and not all those who remained married till death may find true happiness.

Finally, this life is not about what my mates are doing or not doing, this life is about you and God. The more you keep comparing yourself with another, the more your "spiritual problems" keep increasing.

Don't be desperate for anything except if that thing is to show more love, genuinely.
