Just finished Arcane Season 1 a couple of days ago.

Should you watch it even if you haven't played League of Legends? Yes.

- Good writing. Written quite decently as every minute per episode counted and helped towards progressing the story, at the same time, reinforcing the narrative being depicted.
- Characters are in the gray area. No one's from the extremes of just being good or bad, they all have their flaws that turn into challenges to overcome
- While it is animated, I personally like the no-holds-barred action shown.
- For the players of the game, you'll get to nerd out with all the easter eggs, references and playable characters from both League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics
- Can't wait for Season 2 to wrap up this weekend so I can binge watch all of it in one go.
- Best watched with friends that also play league or tft. The added banter just enhances the experience!

Choncc recap short from Riot basically encapsulates everything. We are Chonccs in this XD

MF Ghost!

- The direct sequel to the beloved Initial D franchise, after Project D, in the world of EV cars, MFG showcases what these beautiful petrol cars can really unleash.

- Akagi Red Suns? Remember them? :D

- Without going into spoiler territory, recurring characters from the previous franchise definitely show up

- The Spirit of '86 is alive and well.

- If you're familiar with "Speed Speed Lover" with the iconic scene between the AE86 Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX vs CE9A Mitsubishi Lancer GSR Evolution III, well... let's just say the game's not over :)

- Breaking the mold and going off-meta in a sense, true to the spirit of Initial D, it stays faithful with being the underdog and showcasing that racing isn't just about the machine, but who's making use of the car.

- Going into another subject related to the franchise: Eurobeat. Some of the songs felt lacking (while it still evokes the feeling for scenes specially when something interesting would kick in) HOWEVER as mentioned above, it was a pleasant surprise to hear a couple of older ones from the previous franchise.

- Currently, Season 1's over, Season 2's on-going with 6 episodes under the belt and all I can say is "BITIN". I just wish the first season had 20+ episodes (as of this post, with the combined seasons, it's still under 20).

- If you grew to love the AE86, the spiritual successor isn't that hard to root for really.

Okay. Wow this was a doozy. While not being the biggest fan of Seed in general (I still love their designs though), this was a thoroughly enjoyable movie.

Quick rundown:

- They started (past tense hint hint) with the Freedom and Justice Wave Rider suits. They were okay.
- They definitely took some aspects (good ones) from other series. Use what works.
- If you're a big fan of the Seed Series, this movie has a bunch of fan service for you.
- Femto Tech. Now this one might go under the radar. I'd like to believe this was a nudge/reference to From Software's Armored Core franchise as mech artists from both AC and Gundam jump from each other. Femto Particles are quite prominent in the AC universe and for Femto Tech to appear in this movie, nerdgasm.
- The Amazing Zigok has an equally Amazing weight loss.
- The 00 Raiser makes an appearance (it's not a spoiler, but if you've watched Gundam 00, you'll get that it's a joke)
- 2 hours of wrapping up the Gundam Seed universe was well spent.

So finished Season 1 of I Parry Everything. Quick rundown:

- It starts on a sad note but also reinforces why the main character is so eager to reach his goals.
- Main character has the sensibilities of both a man with a noble heart and a straight up idiot.
- A toned down Bofuri, in a very pleasant way.

Spoiler territory (?)

- Ending shows that he did not fail at everything, he was just meant to work on what he gained, no matter how little, and be the best at it. Noor simply did not need more than those seemingly useless skills.

Hopefully there's a season 2 on the horizon for this.

After playing this game for 262.2 hours (as per the steam picture attached) here's my personal take on this game:

First week was fantastic. I've been itching to play a MMO game where you could see a bunch people (actual people playing the game) roaming around, doing random stuff with all the others, partying up with randoms and going for raids etc. Blue Protocol fell through and Riot's MMO is getting postponed, so this game's launch definitely filled in that void (previously I was playing Tree of Savior of stave of the mmo-hunger of sorts).

It had a decent controller support (which I'm quite fond of now) specially for playing MMOs. Controller support for MMOs should be a staple. It's a hybrid of action-combat and classic tab targetting/point and click. While that sounds good and all, T&L (Throne and Liberty) was supposed to be a mobile game and it does show signs of it. Sadly, controlling your character during combat (while it's a mix of both styles) can be very lack-luster at times or "wonky" even.

Game doesn't really throw everything that you need to know (but hey there are YouTube videos for that), however, being an old fart myself - I like to figure things out for my own and experience going through the game - yes, including failing at things because that's part of it (remember having those crappy builds you did with your very first character in an MMO? yeah that one).

PVE experience is quite decent, with different boss mechanics for each co-op dungeon (which are paced quite well by introducing parts of the bosses phases and mechanics via minibosses). PVP's exhilarating enough - however, we're going to dabble on the bad parts now:

It gets repetitive and chore-like after reaching your 3rd power break of sorts (power break being a checkpoint - current content can go as high as 3.5 to 3.7k combat power max). 1st power break would be at around 2000 Combat Power (CP), 2nd at 2.5k and 3rd at 3k. Even with a healthy guild (healthy in a sense that they're both going for PvE and PvP content), the game can really be stale. As for the chore-part, the daily gameplay can be broken down as follows:

- check for the amitoi house (expedition completion) and send them back to another one
- coop dungeons
- contracts
- resistance contracts (or scroll contracts)
- bosses (peace and conflict)
- whatever your guild's schedule for Guild Raids
- guild contracts

* can be mixed and match to fit your allowed game time per day, it really is up to you

That being said, if you're like me who's a progression-nut, just adding a tiny bit of progress via upgrading skills or traits do add to your combat power, and it was enough to give me that "push" to play this longer than I should have.

Why did I put the Expenditure being 0 here? I'd be a du***ss if I even spent a dime on games like these. Don't get me wrong here, if you enjoy what you'll be getting for what you'd like to pay for - by all means that's your money. For my case however, I've played a handful of MMOs at this point that at the end of the day, maybe it also comes with being an old fart, it's just not worth it.

I find myself playing with other games more after doing the "list" of stuff to do (twice even with an alt) because it just simply didn't feel "fun" anymore.

Maybe it's just me but it doesn't really hold a candle to the older MMOs in a sense that it "connects" people. That nostalgic sense of being in a world as a form of escapism and immersing yourselves in that world while still having that real-world banter.

T&L's graphics, for a MMO game, it's quite nice. They definitely got that nailed at least.

For what it's worth - it was fun, but eh, I couldn't be bothered to play this game anymore even with the Epic 2's on the horizon (coming this December), it'll just be the same.

I'll patiently wait for Riot's MMO.

Will test play off-stream see if it's not laggy. If it's not, then we go for a grind hahah

Finally done with all (10) seasons of Blacklist and got the Dragoon to level 520! Woot woot. Thoughts for those who haven't watched this yet:

- Ultron monologues + Metal Gear-esque plot. All it's missing are nanomachines and Metal Gears. Seriously.

- If you're familiar with Power Rangers/Super Sentai/Tokusatsu, it follows the Monster of the Episode formula, well, for this one, it follows the case of the episode (and having aliases for their targets helps ex: The Decemberist, The Freelancer etc). The characterization for the targets of the Blacklist (or the Reddington Task Force) were well presented and would pique your interest.

- Elizabeth Keen reminds me of Dean and Sam Wi******er (Supernatural) in a way that a whole world of screw up's could've been avoided if they didn't push through with what they wanted. But hey, something needs to get the ball rolling I suppose. Plus points for the switcharoo though (what switcharoo? watch it then)

- Who is Raymond Reddington? He might be Aegon Targaryen.

- I didn't quite like the last (2) seasons. It peaked at Season 8 and could've ended well with that. I understood that they wanted to show the fallout of what happened however, the ending was just "eh". They could've given everyone a proper send off. Closures to unanswered questions and shedding light on the mystery of it all but nope.

Oh yeah, I've been steering away from Stranger Things so I might as well catch up. Then again, Eleven is basically Sasuke HAHAHAHA

New Class update on September 12, slow but steady progress to Gear Score 25k lol (19k dang it). But working on upgrading the accessories to +20 nyehehe.

All the while watching Blacklist. Currently at Season 6 and I'm still hooked lol.

Ulton x Metal Gear-esque. Berinays.

Not sure when I'd be able to stream, truth be told, too lazy to set up bananameter hahaha

People have been mentioning for me to think about what to do with viewer reward points.

It might not be much BUT here's what I thought of:

- 50,000 points Original Artwork from yours truly.

In the future, higher point rewards may include actual print outs to be shipped (if you're in the Philippines). But that's yet to be determined as that would involve shelling out for shipping. Who knows, but I'll definitely keep this in mind.

I know who you guys are, so rest assured I'd be pouring the best of my efforts in creating a unique art piece as my thanks to you for supporting me in this stupid endeavor.

For now, I'm binge watching Blacklist still AHHAHHAHA.

(yeap no stream today too XD sorry)

- Finished Wistoria: Wand and Sword (if Mashle was more serious). Too bad it's just up to 7 episodes as of this post. Episode 8 to air September 2024

- Caught up with FairyTail 100-Year Quest.

- Level 506/510. Got a better mount now. from YoMama to YoGranma HAHAHHA. Apparently the real grind starts now.

- Still rewatching Billions. Because why not.

- No stream for the time being, probably be back at it next week kek.
