Over the next few weeks, millions will see Military Road and Freshwater Bay star in a new TV commercial for Sky Mobile. Shot back in October, the two-day shoot was organised by Filmwight with the help of several Island-based companies including Lobster Locations, Crown Park and The Albion Hotel.

A short film written by Rowena Amos, from Ventnor has just wrapped after two days filming on the Isle of Wight. The film, ‘The Day of the Sun Dog’ stars Paul McGann, (Dr Who/Withnail and I) and Kerrie Taylor (Hollyoaks/The Bay). Also starring is Alvin, the one eyed wonder dog who was trained for weeks and learnt how to sit in a basket attached to a push bike while it was being ridden.
Last year we hosted a crew from CBS UK who were filming a new TV series called 'The Man Who Fell to Earth.' We organised a day trip for them to film at Freshwater cliffs which was looking spectacular in the sunshine. Starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, the show is due to stream on Showtime on the 24th April 2022.
