Nairobi ,Kenya Monday 15th 2022.

Kenya's Deputy president William Ruto has been elected as the country's next president, the electoral commission announced Monday. Ruto won with 50.49% of the votes , narrowly defeating the veteran opposition leader former prime minister Raila Odinga , who contesting his fifth election.

President- elect , William Ruto become Kenya's fifth President since independence, winning the seat on his first attempt. Ruto party , the Kenya first coalition, has won the majority of seats in Kenya senate , the second highest in the national assembly.

International politics and Diplomacy.

On 4th April 2022, Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, United States Representative in United Nations Met with Ugandan president Yoweri Musevenei in Ugandan capital (Kampala) .During the meeting , they discussed the broad range of global issues and regional security challenges which include helping Advance peace in South Sudan and Somalia.

Ambassador Linda reiterated the significance of United States commitments in supporting democratic institutions in Uganda.

United States Ambassador to United Nations warned African countries to be cautious not to break sanctions on Russian government because of its invasion of Ukraine in order to avoid the consequences they will met , IN RETURN Ugandan president Yoweri Musevenei replied That if United States want to Help Africa US should separate African nations from the sanctions in a war they are not participants.
