I would recommend this show to anyone who enjoys dark superhero shows like The Boys; but given how the show revolves around the growth and development of our 17-year old protagonist, anyone who enjoys teen dramas would probably enjoy this to a certain extent too.

Kentaro Miura, the author of Berserk, apparently passed away on May 6th due to a ruptured aorta.

I read Berserk in 2018 and every page felt like an absolute artistic masterpiece filled with vivid expressions of sadness, struggle, love, hate and all kinds of emotions conveyed through the most detailed and imaginative art. All I wanted was to pay tributes to Kentaro Miura, the man who poured all of his creativity and skill into making such a wonderful piece of art. I knew Berserk wouldn't have an ending but I didn't expect it to be concluded in this way at least and this is just very saddening. Rest in peace sir, your work will always remain as the shining inspiration for everyone in the manga industry and just any form of art in general.

The show is about how Frank Castle, aka, The Punisher, tries to take revenge for the murder of his family and him being framed by some very powerful men in the CIA. We first saw Frank Castle in season 2 of Daredevil and so you'll obviously get a better idea of his circumstances if you've already watched it, but even if you haven't, don't worry, because show starts off slowly so that you can understand everything clearly.

You see, on the surface, The Punisher is supposed to be a crime action show but the best part about this show is that, it focuses a lot more on building up the characters than the action itself. Every character in the show was developed to perfection as you are able to connect to them and understand their ideals and their decisions. But don't worry, the action scenes are brilliant as well, they are brutal, gory and very cathartic. Honestly I'd say, The Punisher is more of a character driven show than a plot-driven or action-driven show and this makes it so different from other shows in the same genre.

Alright so, Psycho-pass is one of the best psychological crime thriller I've ever seen and I'm sorry Death Note fanboys but Psycho-pass is way more refined in terms of the philosophical dialogue about the various aspects the show tries to focus on. It is set in a dystopian world where technology has advanced so far that everything regarding a human's mental condition is constantly measured to understand when a person might have the urge to commit a crime even before he actually commits it and so this brings in the question of free will in the society. The society seems to be in complete harmony but there is essentially no free will because everything is determined by this technological system and the antagonist Makishima Shougo tries to go against that by showing everyone that it is free will which decides the worth of a person, not any system.

This show has brilliant dialogue and the characters are very well written. The antagonist, Makishima Shougo is easily one of the best villains in fiction and the brilliant dynamic between Makishima and Kogami makes this show very interesting. The philosophical discussions and concepts strengthened by the brilliant dialogue makes it obligatory for all psychological crime thriller fans to watch the show.

Westworld is a very complex TV show that deals with some of the most debated topics among philosophers throughout the times; the most prominent one of them being "๐พ๐๐ฃ ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ก๐ก ๐๐ญ๐๐จ๐ฉ ๐๐ฃ ๐ ๐ฌ๐ค๐ง๐ก๐ ๐ฌ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ฎ๐ฉ๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐จ ๐ฅ๐ง๐-๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ง๐ข๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐ฎ ๐๐ฃ ๐๐ก๐ก ๐ฅ๐ค๐ฌ๐๐ง๐๐ช๐ก ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐?". It's a show where humans try to play gods by creating a world full of robots who follow a routine pattern for humans to come and be free. The show focuses on this dynamic of free will and predetermination through the humans and robots and we see, as time goes by, humans and robots actually have a lot in common than they'd like to admit.

Yes, Westworld is very, very confusing because of many parallel scenes and the timelines are very confusing too. But as you keep watching, everything will eventually fall into place and make the plot reveals feel absolutely mind-blowing so yes, it's definitely worth continuing the show.

Vagabond follows the life of a legendary Japanese samurai named ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ข๐ค๐ฉ๐ค ๐๐ช๐จ๐๐จ๐๐. In a word, I'd just say, Vagabond is pure art; the manga has such beautiful, realistic and detailed art that you just get consumed into the environment and the characters are so well-written that you sympathise with their aspirations and goals. The whole manga is basically a huge character development arc as you see Miyamoto Musashi being obsessed with power, learn about the most important strength in life, the mental strength.

Here's the thing, if you like stories about ๐จ๐๐ก๐-๐ง๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ, ๐จ๐๐ก๐-๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก๐ค๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ฉ and just different aspects of life in general, Vagabond is something that is just worth your time. Even if you haven't read any manga before, I would say Vagabond is amazing enough to keep you hooked with its very realistic and detailed art style. Just try it for a few chapters and if you're still not into it, you can drop it (not everyone has good taste ( อกยฐ อส อกยฐ) ).

Undoubtedly 9.8/10. The only flaw of the manga is that it's not finished but the funny thing is that, even though it's not finished, you will feel like the journey of you reading the manga has been more than worth your time.

It also has a dubbed version if you're not comfortable with subs and Japanese language.

AOT is a political-mystery thriller and is set in a seemingly post-apocalyptic world where humans have been forced to live behind the walls in order to protect themselves from the Titans who devour humans. Doesn't seem so political? That's because the first season is basically made to let your guard down and catch you off guard with the absolutely mind-blowing plot twists.

I would rate it a solid 9 and for reference, I rate Game of Thrones 9.2 and it's one of my favorite shows ever made.
