Glasgow Wellington can this evening confirm that after helping form the club 3 years ago, Curtis Rose has stepped down from his duel role of Manager & Club Chairman as of immediate effect.

We would like to thank him for all he has done for our club & players across all of our teams.

From the dark days of starting out during Covid, right up to last season where he lead the Dukes to some memorable cup runs including a Glasgow Cup final, while also narrowly missing out on promotion.

Announcement’s of the Management & club re-structure will be made in due course.

Big news coming out of Royal Exchange Square…

The club can today, that current Chairman Curtis Rose will be stepping down from the position of Dukes Saturday Amateurs Manager, at the end of the season.

We will begin the search for a new boss in due course & encourage any potential interested candidates to contact the club via social streams or email - [email protected].

Off the back of last weeks Academy announcement, here’s a quick look on what we will offer.

𝑫𝒖𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝟏-𝟐-𝟏 𝑷𝑫𝑷 𝒄𝒐𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 ⚽️-
looking at developing players at any stage of their career & guide them through each stage of their development using Personal Development Plans (PDP) and analysing all aspects of performance.

𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 💪🏻
These classes will be welcoming, fun filled but also hard working as we help you Increase your levels of physical activity, but also help you reach your fitness goals in our Football themed sessions. PDPs also available.

𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 👴🏼👵🏻
We will be starting a weekly Dukes walking Football club to help our local older demographic of Dukes supporters to get back on to the park and mixing with others!

𝑫𝒖𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝑲𝒊𝒅𝒔 𝑨𝒄𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒚 𝒔𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔. 👦🏻👧🏼
These sessions will run all over Glasgow and the west with a number of FREE pilot sessions running to generate interest, numbers and participation in young Dukes to get them having fun while learning how to play 😎

Today we can announce the club will launch the Dukes academy sessions over the coming weeks, starting with a couple of pilot sessions around Glasgow & the west, FREE of charge.

The club look to also other bespoke training plans, 1-2-1 coaching and different types of football sessions so we are not only developing players, but bringing them into the game.

Glasgow Wellington, Club Statement .

Today, the club would like to announce that we have been holding engaging & positive dialogue with the South Of Scotland Football League. As of this week, we will be formally initiating the application process to join the league.

The Club, has never tried to hide the fact that it is our aim to step into the Senior Footballing Pyramid, and with recent restructure & strengthening, we feel we are in an extremely strong position to now push ahead with this.

We look forward to engaging with the current clubs already within the set up to ensure we can be the best addition to a great league.

Dazzler the duke is now the official mascot for the dukes 👀🤣

The club chairman went to meet the Clyde 1 Superscoreboard team tonight after last week Gordon Dalziel was offered the job of Glasgow Wellington FC mascot via Twitter.

Superb from the Clyde 1 lads, Gordon Duncan, Gordon Dalziel, Mark Wilson and producer Callum Bell involving the club and being such good guys sticking a top on. Hopefully, see yous repping them out and about now 🙌🏻

Today, the club are buzzing to announce a new partnership with AXM Club (Glasgow) 😎🕺🏿💃🏻

AXM will host club events in months to come & we’ll be sure to see the players back the odd weekend cutting some shapes. 😜

We can’t wait to help each other grow in the future and look forward to some exciting times & nights ahead.
