About a year ago I decided maintain a small golf green (Tiftuf). I wanted to find a way to install a teasing brush discreetly onto my Model 45. After many failed attempts here is what I came up with.
I really was trying to make this removable however in the end it it became a permanent fixture. I found that having the brush sit 90 degrees to the grass was best and as a result I made the brush angle adjustable to allow for different height of cut..
I have repurposed a roller door weather seal (brush) and all items were purchased from Bunnings.
I have modified the aluminium bracket to curve around the front roller bracket and added 4x slots to allow for angle adjustment. I then drilled and tapped 4x screws into the front roller bracket to hold the brush in place.
The brush works great and I have definitely noticed a nicer cut on my low cut grass. I don’t believe it would work as well on longer or wider blade turf however a stiffer brush may improve this..
We all need to remember a SB 45 is not a greens grade mower and this sorta attachment will have its limits..
