We're taking a break...

Hey OurEden Fans,

First of all, thank you so much for your support over the years! OurEden has been a fun and eye opening experience for the three of us and we've learned so much in the process. Recently, however, as some of you have likely notice, we've simply not been making as many videos. The three of us here at OE are more and more involved in our day to day jobs and simply don't have the time we used to for YouTube. For this reason, we are pausing our Patreon and demonetising our videos until further notice. But, our videos will remain on YouTube ad free until further notice. This may not be the last you hear from OurEden together or as individuals. Thank you once again for your support and as always, look after yourselves, each other, and most importantly, the planet around you.

Crazy to imagine that the Amazon of all places is now a carbon source, not a sink. This is largely due to emissions of deforestation for beef and soy production (~77% is then used for livestock feed); a showcase of the damage our food choices have on the environment.

This might seem like the smallest, most insignificant change, and, well.. it is. But we're really excited that we're at the point now where we can start doing this monthly. We have set up a system at OurEden where 10% of our Patreon (www.patreon.com/OurEden) revenue is given to an environmental charity of our patrons choice, and this month we have our first patron, so are now able to donate a small amount monthly. It's not much yet, but we hope in the future it will be!

Big, big news! The Keystone XL pipeline project has officially been abandoned by developers! ✨✨ Indigenous activists and environmental groups fought for over a decade against the KXL pipeline. This is their moment, this is people power at its best. This proves that oil and gas projects can be stopped even after they’ve started construction! The world needs to end its affiliation with fossil fuels and we need to do it now! Let’s celebrate the wins and continue the fight! ✊
