Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 21-year-old woman, Maimunatu Sulaiman, for st@bbing her husband to d£ath in the Kofar Dumi area of the state.

Acting spokesperson of the command, ASP Aminu Gimba Ahmed, who disclosed this in a statement on Friday, July 7, 2023, said the suspect st Aliyu Mohammad in his chest with a knife after an altercation ensued between them.

The PPRO said the incident occurred at the couple's home on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, adding that the suspect who sustained minor bruises on her stomach during the brawl, confessed to the crime.

“Acted on information received on 5th July 2023 at about 2340hrs, the detectives attached to the Township Divisional Police headquarters, Bauchi have arrested one Maimunatu Sulaiman 'F' Aged 21yrs old of Kofar Dumi area of Bauchi state for allegedly culpable homicide,” the statement read.

"While receiving the information from their end, the detectives led by the Divisional Police Officer immediately rushed to the crime scene at the address and took both the victim and the suspect to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi for medical attention.

"Consequently, reports obtained from medical doctors confirmed that the victim died as a result of an injury sustained on his chest, while the suspect sustained minor bruises on her stomach.

"Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect (Maimuna Suleiman) stabbed her husband Aliyu Mohammad 'm' of the same address as a result of an altercation ensued between them on the 5th of July, 20223 at about 1800hrs in their matrimonial home

“During interrogation, the suspect confessed to having committed the crime.”

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police CP Auwal Musa Mohammad, psc, has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for a discreet investigation to further unravel the circumstances that surround the death of the victim.

The suspect will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation, the PPRO added.

This Man, Samuel Okpabi, From Benue Was Framed Up With The Help Of The Nigeria Police When He Was Only 23 And He Spent 28 Years In Prison

Samuel Okpabi from Benue state was arrested after he was falsely accused of armed robbery by a certain influential man who didn't like him and sent to prison when he was just 23 years old. Little did he know, that arrest would be the beginning of a nightmare that would last for 28 long and painful years.

Samuel was accused of a crime he did not commit, and despite his protests of innocence, he was locked away behind bars. As the years went by, he watched as his life slowly slipped away from him. He was trapped in a place where time seemed to stand still, while the rest of the world moved on without him.

With each passing day, Samuel's hope dwindled. He watched as other inmates were released, and new ones arrived, but he remained trapped behind bars, an innocent man falsely accused and detained. The years turned into decades, and Samuel grew old behind bars, his dreams of a life outside of prison slipping away.

Now, after 28 years of being locked up, Samuel has been released, but the damage has already been done. He has lost everything that he had once held dear. His youth, his health, his family, and his freedom were all taken from him, leaving him with nothing to his name.

He has no wife, no children, and no home to go to. All he has is the bitter taste of injustice in his mouth, and the knowledge that he has lost 28 years of his life for a crime he did not commit.

The pain and suffering that Samuel has endured is a tragic reminder of the flaws in our justice system. The power and money that control our judiciary can d^estroy lives and leave innocent people locked away for decades.

Samuel's story is indeed, a pitiful one.

Senator Ali Ndume who represents Borno South Senatorial District in the 9th National Assembly has said that the performance of Peter Obi and the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general elections showed that youths and the middle class are getting tired of the older generation who have been in government for decades.

Ndume stated this when he appeared on Channels TV on Saturday, April 2.

Asked if the outcome of the polls fitted his expectations, Ndume said;

“Yeah, but there were surprises in some places – Lagos, (and the) South-East. The performance of LP actually is above my expectation.”

Ndume, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army, has been in the National Assembly for 20 years. The chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) said he never thought that the flag bearer of the Labour Party, Peter Obi could get over six million votes at the poll over a month ago.

Ndume said;

“Yeah, even in the general elections all over, especially. He (Obi) had six million votes. It goes to tell something that people don’t talk about: and that is to say that the signs are out there that the middle income group or social group and the youths are getting tired of the – do I even include myself? — upper level: people in their 70s and 80s who have been in the corridors of power since they were in their 30s.”

Former Olympic star Oscar Pistorius has been denied parole a decade after fatally shooting his girlfriend.

Pistorius, a double-amputee nicknamed "Blade Runner" who drew fame for his Olympic and Paralympic appearances, shot Steenkamp multiple times through a bathroom door in his home.

A model and law school graduate, Steenkamp was 29 years old.

BREAKING!!! Court Remands Blessing CEO In Prison Till May 30th | but second news said she is back.

The Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday remanded a social media influencer Blessing Okoro aka “Blessing CEO” following her arraignment by the police for alleged Cyber-bullying.

Justice Yelim Bogoro remanded the blogger and self-proclaimed relationship/mental expert in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS) till May 30 for hearing of her bail application.

According to report, tt the start of the case, Blessing said she is the Personal Therepist and Mental Expert of IVD on the murder case and made a lot of claims against the family of his late partner.

Controversial clergyman, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, aka Prophet Odumeje has said that he has completed his work on earth and will d!e soon.

Vanguard reports that the founder of the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry said this during service in the church where he told his congregation that it was time for him to go.

According to the publication, Odumeje fondly called Indaboski, said he had a heart-to-heart talk with his first son, David, and informed him that his last days in the world are near. He told the boy to prepare to be the man of the house who will take care of his siblings and mother when he (Odumeje) is gone.

“I have called my little son, King David, and I told him that very soon, I, your father will leave. You must take care of your brothers and your mother. I came to this world for a purpose, and that purpose has been fulfilled. I have finished my earthly ministry, and I will leave soon,” he said.
