Aurora Borealis Bust. Hype was building across the country earlier this week over a possibility of a northern lights spotting. Based on the initial report, there was a chance of a spotting in EP!Unfortunately for most stargazers, experts now say the forecast for a northern lights show has faded. Before the change in the forecast, we spoke with EPLN photographer Gretchen Haynes, about the best ways to capture those allusive lights on camera. First, you need dark clear skies. No light pollution. Haynes said that a basic point-and-shoot or phone camera will show a little bit more than the naked eye can see. But with a decent camera and a tripod, using a long exposure will allow more of the light to be captured.See some of Gretchen’s photos by visiting our link in bio. #northernlights #auroraborealis #edenprairiemn #edenprairie

Eagles softball defeats Waconia with a four-run rally
Junior Alex Hall drove in two runs with a triple in the bottom of the sixth inning on Tuesday, securing a 4-3 victory for the Eagles over Waconia. Grace Streed then drove Hall home for the eventual winning run. Junior Ava Kizewski started the game-winning four-run rally with the team’s second hit of the game. The Eagles remain undefeated, with a 2-0 record after beating Park of Cottage Grove 11-2 on April 1. Both games were played in the Prairie Dome, as the outdoor fields were not yet playable.
