Happy Thursday yall!!! I can’t tell you how proud I am of myself for having built a “work from anywhere” situation. I can literally plan my schedule the way I want and I am not about to take that for granted.

I literally only step out for in person meetings, or events or for fun. 🤩

RESILIENCE: 👉🏾 As an independent artist, having the courage to fail, accept criticisms with open arms and never giving up despite all of that is a THE most important SKILL TO HAVE.

And these are not easy skill to acquire, most of us have to work really hard to push past the noise to get to the other side. And still not receive the support because people simply don’t understand what it takes to be a successful artist who can at least make a living out of it.

This project right here, was a BIG LESSON for me. I spent over $5k on it and it never came to see the light due to some unforeseeable reasons. I was heartbroken, and devastated and everything in me wanted to quit.

BUT I DIDNT!

I pushed past it and started working on more songs and more projects and continued building my music catalogue only to have my music become more and more noticed.

All I am trying to say is that, if you feel like you are alone in this journey as an independent artist, you are not wrong for feeling that. But don’t let that feeling hold you back. Keep working on your craft and keep taking one step forward to built your empire.

Btw, this project had an incredible team and I m sure the time will align itself right ☺️ just want to shout out to all of them real quick.

Alright check out the face glow 🤩! Just my face, the sun and the coconuts oils on my skin mamiiiii 🌸

I did also got on a diet that has no sugar, or anything refined, no pork, no red meat, very little salt, no caffeine, no seed oils and no dairy!

I didn’t do this to lose weight of anything like that, but I was prepping my body for a plant 🪴 medicine dieta but holy crap just 10 days of this is making me feel like a super human so much so that I might stick to it.

In the beginning this was tough, cause wtf could I eat ??? Right?!?! But as days progressed I realized that I LOVE a big bowl of fruits, I freaking add avocado to everything, I can bake veggies to make awesome dishes, chicken and fish also got me good. There are options with natural good food but we are so addicted to the fast and unhealthy over hyped foods that we forget the simple good stuff out there. SIMPLE FOODS TO THE WIN! 🍱

Now, I don’t think I ll stay a 100% off of all of that, I will allow myself some cheat days if I am craving foods cause I don’t want to get nasty to the people around me 🤣 but I am going to make this my diet predominantly because I feel so good.

MY LIFE IN A BOX 📦

Ok, here’s why I think we need to find our people and social media is the best tool for this. 💕

🌟My life has been with a lot of ups and downs especially in the last 3 years, ever since the pandemic.

🗺️ We’ve lived in so many places, not because we were world travelers but out of necessities. But the experience has been incredibly humbling. And I still NEVER give up on music 🥹

One thing I’ve learnt along the way is that, we cannot stop trying just because things don’t look like how you envisioned it. 🍀

I believe that everything happens for a reason and is aligned with a higher purpose. Even though sometimes it’s hard for us to see it in the moment, I know that I walk with the divine. 💯

So if you have had it hard these past few years, write to me, leave a comment, let’s be each other’s communities. 🤗

I know my account has a lot of artists such as myself on it and it’s especially hard for people like us to find our grounding. But I also want to welcome anyone, who just feels like “life is out to get them”. 😱 I can tell you this, if you keep doing what you love to do WELL, you will start living more and more in your own purpose which will in turn make YOU happy. Happiness is the after effect of what you do to live your truth. It’s not the other way around. Speaking from experience 👀

As I get older I find peace in daily routines. Making my decaf coffee is one of those things. And I have to have it with dark chocolate powder 😍 This Keurig machine at my mom in law’s is my favorite, along with my Trader Joe’s dark chocolate powder and raw honey.
