Deb Daniel visted with us about a week ago to talk about the serious water issues we are facing in Colorado. We cover numerous topics including the compact agreement, water conservation and even touch on Bonnie. Deb does a fantastic job of breaking down a very complex topic in a way that makes it easy to understand.

This topic is NOT going way - and will impact all of us on some level as time moves on. Check it out

Deb Daniel is the General Manager of the Republican River Water Conservation District, and she came on to further the conversation on water conservation. You can find more information at www.republicanriver.com

As all of you know, Ma*****na legislation is on the ballot next Tuesday in Burlington, Colorado and will be voted on next week by all of us. We wanted to get the inside scoop from mulitple sources to paint a picture of the pros and cons if this legislation passes. As advertised earlier this week, we interviewed Jim Crone, the former Sherriff of Morgan County, and Robin Mastin, the current Mayor of Log Lane Village in Northeastern Colorado adjacent to Fort Morgan. These episodes are a fascinating listen if you are curious about this topic.

NEW EPISODES AIRING SOON:

We have two very special episodes airing this week. Ma*****na legislation is on the ballot this year for Kit Carson County residents, specifically in the city of Burlington, and we wanted to get two different perspectives from individuals who live in a county that already has several dispensaries. If you want to hear the pros and the cons, this will be a great listen!

Staci Beauford & Audrey Sayles are bringing creativity out in communities all across the midwest. It all started in 2017 when Staci painted her first mural in Limon, CO. Little did she know, that first mural would garner 115,000 views on social media. Audrey joined up with Staci and started the business “Some Girls and a Mural”. They go around painting the midwest together along with other female artists. Tune in for this fascinating listen where Troy sits down with Staci & Audrey to learn more about Some Girls and a Mural. About Us

Burlington On the Spot was born from a small IT company in Burlington, Colorado called Eastern Colorado Technology. We are faced with a big problem: Newspapers are dying. Our mission is to revive local news, especially in rural areas, so we can keep our small towns alive, and on the map.
