Coming soon to UK & Irish Cinemas in October from CineAsia comes an epic throwback to the golden age of Hong Kong action cinema. Set in the 1980s 'Stuntman', tells the story of Dee Gor a washed-up action choreographer, struggling to find his way in a changing industry, played by legendary actor and action choreographer Stephen Tung Wai. Gor risks everything to stage an epic comeback, but can he repair the damage to his relationship with his estranged daughter Cherry (Cecilia Choi), before it's too late?

The cast includes Terrance Lau and Philip Ng hot off the success of the Oscar contender Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In. Directed by Albert and Herbert Leung 'Stuntman recreates the spirit of classic Hong Kong action cinema, a nostalgic event bringing to life Hong Kong action's 1980s golden era. The Leung brothers channel their own experiences bringing together a visceral tale with frenetic action showcasing the last impact and legacy of Hong Kong stunt professionals.

To many his was the voice that terrified a generation giving rise to one of the greatest villains in cinema. James Earl Jones was more than just the voice of Darth Vader. Accomplished stage and small screen actor multiple nominee and recipient of Tony, Emma and Grammy awards, and renowned Shakespeare actor. Can you imagine how utterly amazing he was as Othello, or as August Wilson in Fences uttering these lines:

"Like you? I go out of here every morning… bust my butt…putting up with them crackers everyday…cause I like you? You about the biggest fool I ever saw. It’s my JOB. It’s my RESPONSIBILITY! You understand that? A man got to take care of his family. You live in my house… sleep on my bed clothes…fill you belly up with my food… cause you my son. You my flesh and blood. Not ‘cause I like you! Cause it’s my duty to take care of you. I OWE a responsibility to you! Let’s get this straight right here… before it go along any further… I ain’t got to like you."

Every role he played Jones took the role and gave it power, gravitas, and a depth of presence you could feel, even in his cameos.

We're saddened to hear of the passing of a true action legend - Corey Yuen. From the golden years of Hong Kong cinema to the glam of Hollywood Yuen's blend of frenetic high energy fight action, breathtaking stunts, and slapstick comedy help changed the face of action cinema. Throughout his career Yuen worked with the likes of Jackie Chan, Yuen Biao, Sammo Hung, Cynthia Rothrock, Michelle Yeoh, Jean Claude Van Damme Jason Statham - & to name a few - RIP!
