I'm baaaaack......but for how long is the question!

I have been a bad page keeper, but I shall try better to upload more often. But for now, I have done some uploading and a wee bit of a tidy up, so if you could have a wee gander that would be just t'rrific 😁

Linking back to my previous post about honing my skills, I just wanted to prove to myself and to any of you out there that are a little bit interested in what I have been able to do self-teaching myself Adobe Lightroom and exploring photography more.

As you can see from the before and after photos you are able to create good with the bad, and using the worse of my photos I was able to challenge myself a bit to attempt to make them better and presentable, thus adding another string to my bow.

I can safely say I am quite able to create both the natural edits to pull out the beauty of the shot and the slightly more arty edit for a more alternative approach.

Well, it has been a wee while since I last posted something that was directly mine; but I have been working behind the scenes honing my skills and improving myself.
These lockdowns have been tough on us all, there is no doubt about that, but I also think it has been a small blessing in a way that we can all reconnect with one another and catch up on projects and hobbies we wouldn't have had any time for otherwise.

Recently I have gotten back into photography in a big way. I'm a woman obsessed! Any chance I get I'm out there with my camera snapping everything I can.

So without further ado, I have created a portfolio for my photography and some of my digital illustration so far.
It is forever being updated so do check back every now and then to see what I have been up too.

I will now cheekily say if you like what you see I am open for commissions. Due to the lockdowns, work comes from contacts and word of mouth. Networks are so important to a freelancer, so every little really does help.
Plus, it means I get work and more experience and you get some cracking photos, it's a win-win! 😝😝

So this is my new Behance page, I've always been interested in Digital Illustration and since being gifted my tablet from my parents for my birthday last year I have been self teaching myself the ways of the tablet and pen.

I know I have a ways to go to improve, but I wanted to put what I have done so far up to the public eye.

And perhaps if any of you see a glimpse of something in my art and would like a piece commissioned, I'd be more than happy to help 😊

The online fashion brand cl'vonve has come back and asked for another video highlighting their clothing.

With a more urban and street style vibe, we are creating a video that shows the diversity of their range.

At the end of last year and the beginning of this year, Jack Corrie - Videographer & Editor and I were asked to be a part of a production team for the short films - 'Angel Falls' and 'X Marks The Spot'.

As part of a writing competition started by Tom Lincoln and Daniel Newman; we were part of a crack squad of creatives to bring these scripts to life. Filled with mystery and intrigue (and that was just the crew members) we were determined to do these films justice.

We have sent both of them to numerous film festivals, so wish us luck!
Therefore once they have been cleared with the festivals, I will share them here so you can take a peek too 😊

This was my first dive into the fashion world, editing this Lookbook for the launch of cl'vonve clothing brand. With Jack on camera and Beth modelling the clothes for us we were an unstoppable team.

The only downside I guess you could say was the weather - we did get caught in a thunderstorm and were blasted with torrential rain!

But as you can see the shots we got were great and the video turned out really well.

The beginning of June saw the return for myself and Jack Corrie - Videographer & Editor back on set for The London Jewellery School. Long days and tired feet but definitely a rewarding few days and a few silversmith skills learnt along the way.

'Gone' was the second film Jack Corrie - Videographer & Editor and I did. Quite Black Mirror-esque, but an important underlying message nonetheless.

Jack Corrie - Videographer & Editor and I shot 3 films over the past few weeks, both to keep our brains sane during quarantine and also for film competitions. We are pretty proud of them so I thought I'd share them here as my first few posts to get this page rolling 💪
