Hi friends! Long time no talk! If you haven’t been following my Instagram, you may not know that I’ve been living in a stationary RV AirBnB for the last few weeks in southern Cali! This is so I can be closer to my long-distance partner, whose small business is located in the area. It’s been so cool trying out RV life - a lot more spacious than my van (but still have to empty the grey/black water tanks every week) YUM! We even hiked to the Hollywood sign 😍 (see pics for the amazing shot I got…..😂)

🥂CHEERS🥂 to the end of my first renting season! 16 renters and 6 months later, I earned back 63% of how much I initially spent on my van + build. That's a lot of 6's...? Perfect timing - the last booked renters had the van this weekend which also ended up being Utah's first freeze/snow. The renters ended up extending their rental for a night since the high- elevation passes got snow and they didn't want to push their luck- very glad I just put brand spankin new tires on the van. Also my cue to maaaybe call it the end of the season for my van because it isn't a winter van. It just ain't. Turned down renters who wanted to take it out in January 😳 - unless I relocate it to a warmer climate?! We'll see 😎🔥

PS - these were the renters with two dogs and I'm so pleased with how they returned the van! No big messes, even less fur than I expected. Can't stress enough the importance of "reading" your renters and getting a judge of their character - I think that's the most effective way to filter out the renters who aren't going to treat your van with the respect it deserves 💅

*PETS IN VANS* So I have potentially my last renter for the season and...drum roll...they are bringing two puppos with them. I decided to allow renters to bring pets, but surprisingly this is the first renter to actually do it! After having my kitty Ernie in my van, I KNOW how fur works its way into EVERYTHING. But doggos are a whole 'notha level (in my mind lol). So... FELLOW VAN FRIENDS WITH DOGS: any tips on how to minimize the potential fur / doggo love left behind in the van?! Any and all tips welcome 🤗
