STATE😪😪Fresh Attack On New Year Day

Residents Flee As Terrorists Attack Kajuru Community, Burn Houses, Loot Farm Products

In a devastating New Year’s Day attack, terrorists invaded Unguwar Rogo, a community in Ugom under Maro Ward, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on January 1, 2025.

The assailants reportedly vandalized valuable property, looted various farm products, and burned down six houses in the community. Additionally, they targeted the ECWA Church in Unguwar Rogo, setting it ablaze after looting all movable valuables within the church and its adjoining pastorium.

According to reports, residents of the area fled into the bushes, abandoning their belongings in a desperate attempt to save their lives.

Speaking on the incident, Alhaji Ishaya Onnusim, Chairman of the Ugom Progressive Union, expressed deep sorrow over the attack, describing it as a tragic start to the new year.

Authorities are yet to release an official statement, and the full extent of the damage remains to be assessed.
