سلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

InSha'Allah for this Ramadan we have come up with a challenge to memorise Surah Al-Mulk. There are 30 Ayahs in this surah and if we memorise one ayah a day then by the will of Allah we would have memorised the entrie surah.

We will post one ayah each day of ramadan, so check back at our page each day of Ramadan for the next ayah.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn this virtuous Surah(Virtues of Surah Mulk will be given in an upcoming post). Why not enjoin in good and challenge your friends and family for reward.

What is al-Isra' wal-Mi'raj?:

Isra & Miraj refers to the Night Journey (from Makkah to Al Aqsa) and Ascension up to The Heavens (from Al Aqsa to The Heavens) by Muhammad ﷺ (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) on 27th Rajab. We believe this to be a physical and spiritual journey assisted by Allah by providing the Buraq to ride. It was at this time Muhammad SAW was blessed with the gift of Salaah.

Valentine’s Day has its roots in Christianity. It was established to mourn the death of a Roman – St. Valentine – who was killed more than 1700 years ago. Since it has its roots in Christianity, Muslims should avoid customs such as sending cards, gifts, roses, eating out etc. that are associated with Valentine’s Day. Nabi (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) stated: “The one who imitates a nation is from them.” (Abu Dawood)

It should be borne in mind that exchanging gifts is something encouraged in Shariath especially for a married couple. Nabi (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) has stated: “Exchange gifts with one another it will create love for each other.” (Baihaqi). However, this should not be done on Valentine’s Day, and other such days like anniversary, birthday, etc.
