In light of climate change and the lockdown lifting from several parts of the world, we are highlighting the most crucial element of our ecosystem: Honeybees. Why are we so obsessed with bees, it’s not like anyone eats honey anymore? While several staples of agriculture such as wheat and corn are wind-pollinated, many others need help from other organisms to spread their pollen from one flower to the next. Since bees are essential to protect biodiversity in nature, we need to save and conserve bee population. Supporting local bee farms not only aids the production of plants that are used in the textile and fashion industry, but it also helps in maintaining equilibrium. It’s this simple no bees=no more new outfits to produce and purchase.

Here’s a super simple organic honey tea recipe:
You’ll need
2 tsp dried camomile flowers
pinch dried lavender, optional
2 tsp runny organic honey

Method

1.Put the camomile and lavender into the teapot and fill up the pot with water that has boiled but been left to stand for 1 min.
2.Leave the flowers to infuse for 2-3 mins, stir in the honey then strain in to cups to serve.
This will help calm your nerves and also support our stripey fuzzy friends. .

•Oh Honey•
We’re coming up with fun tips and recipes for our followers during the COVID lockdown, with honey. Honey is derived from honeycombs and bee farms maintain colonies to produce honey on scale. Honeybees are a very signifiant part of our ecosystem, all of plants and crops exist because of them as they travel from flower to flower pollinating. Unfortunately due to widespread use of pesticides and chemicals the bees are dying. A complete collapse of all bee colonies would mean, deforestation, soil erosion and eventually drying up of rivers, which means no more fruits and veggies, no more natural fibres and textiles and no more water. Without them we would have exactly 1 year before all life forms cease to exist. So support local bee farms and save the bees.
Here’s a quick and easy way to make a lip scrub at home; you’ll need:

2 tbsps Sugar
1 tbsp Honey
2 drops Rose water/ essential oil

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and apply the scrub on your lips. Leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse off without rubbing vigourously, et Voilà! You have baby soft lips in under 20 minutes!
