ဖြစ်စဉ်မှာ မေလ ၇ရက်နေ့၊ ယမန်နေ့ညနေ ၆ နာရီခန့်အချိန်၌ ပေါက်တောမြို့နယ်၊ ကြိမ်နီပြင်ရိုဟင်ဂျာ IDP စခန်းအတွင်း နေထိုင်သည့် ဦးအီလီယာစ်ဆိုသူ၏အိမ်မှ ဟင်းချက်ပြုတ်ရာတွင် မီးပေါ့ဆမှုကြောင့် မီးလောင်ဖြစ်ပွားခဲ့ပြီး ည ၉ နာရီအချိန်ခန့်တွင် မီးငြိမ်းသတ်နိုင်ခဲ့ကြောင်း၊ မီးလောင်မှုတွင် အသေအပျောက် ဒဏ်ရာရသူများမရှိပဲ မီးငြိမ်းသတ်ရာတွင် အနာတရရရှိသူ ၅ ဦးရှိသည်ဟု ဆိုသည်။
အဆိုပါမီးလောင်မှုတွင် (၃ ၊ ၄) မိသားစုအတူနေနိုင်သည့် အဆောင် ၃၁ ဆောင်၊ ပလက်စတစ်အကာဖြင့်ဆောက်လုပ်ထားသော နေအိမ် ၁၄ အိမ်နှင့် တဲအိမ် ၇၀ အိမ်အထိမီးလောင်မှုအတွင်းပါသွားခဲ့ပြီး စုစုပေါင်း ၃၂၇ မိသားစုအိုးမဲ့အိမ်မဲ့ ဖြစ်ခဲ့ရကြောင်း သိရသည်။
IDP စခန်းတစ်ခုလုံးတွင် လူဦးရေပေါင်း ၇၀၀၀ ဝန်းကျင်ရှိသည့်အနက် ၃၃၀၀ ကျော်၏ ယာယီအဆောက်အအုံများ မီးလောင်မှုအတွင်း ပါသွားခဲ့ကြောင်း မိသားစုဝင်များက ပြောသည်။
မီးလောင်မှုအပြီး ညအချိန်တွင် ပေါက်တောမြို့၊ မြို့နယ်အုပ်ချုပ်ရေးအဖွဲ့မှလာရောက်ပြီး ကြည့်ရှုကာ တစ်နပ်စာ စားစရာများပေးအပ်သွားကြောင်းနှင့် ယနေ့မနက်တွင်လည်းလာရောက်ကြည့်ရှုခဲ့ကြောင်း သိရသည်။
အဆိုပါ မီးလောင်မှုအတွင်း လှောင်ထားသည့် ဆန်အိတ်များ၊ စပါးကျီများပြာသွားခံခဲ့ရသလို၊ ရွှေငွေများလည်း ဆုံးရှုံးခဲ့ကြရသည်ဟု သိရပြီး မီးလောင်ဒဏ်ခံရသူများအတွက် NGO, UN Agency များ၏ အကူအညီများ လိုအပ်နေသည်ဟု ဆိုသည်။
အဆိုပါ ကြိမ်နီပြင်ရိုဟင်ဂျာ IDP စခန်းတွင်ရှိသော ဒုက္ခသည်များကို ၂၀၁၂ ပဋိပက္ခအပြီးတွင် ကျေးရွာပေါင်း ၅ ရွာမှလူများကိုစုကာ တစ်နေရာတည်းတွင် စခန်းသွင်းထားကြခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။
