Wildly confused by PlayStation.

This weekend is the open beta for a game called Concord, releasing next month, and everyone I ask hasn’t checked it out because they have never heard of it.

Sony was so impressed by this studio’s take at a hero shooter that they bought them to make this a Sony exclusive, but haven’t marketed it for s**t outside of a terrible cinematic reveal and a beta no one knows is happening.

That said, the bones of this game are extremely solid. The character kits, the moment to moment action, and the gunplay are utterly fantastic. Imagine an overwatch type hero shooter but with bungie devs handling the gunplay.

Certain maps, and especially how character selection and certain modes work are at best questionable, at worst straight fu***ng abysmal. But these aren’t hard fixes like the game’s core which is sooo solid.

It should not release next month. It should be delayed to fix the mentioned issues, but above everything else, to be properly marketed.

You would think Sony would realize by now that people can’t buy video games if they don’t know they exist.

I played the first chapter of Hellblade 2 after a joint, then took a break from it for the rest of today due to being kind of disturbed. Lightened the mood by seeing Fall Guy.
