Colette Jane Fehr is a licensed marriage & family therapist, public speaker and soon-to-be published author. Still, as is the case with most Bucket List Careers guests, she started her professional journey on a different path!
Colette pivoted her career from corporate PR, marketing, and sales when she had an experience with couples therapy that made her realize she could make an impact in people’s lives and draw on her own experience. We love that!
With a leap of faith, Colette went back to school to dedicate her career to helping people create more securely attached, connected relationships with their partners.
We talk about how she built her couples therapy practice over the past ten years, her beliefs on what is critical to achieving your professional purpose and evolving yourself to find that sweet spot of crafting meaningful work that can also be monetized.

This week is a solo episode! Christa talks all about how to overcome your fears of creating content on social media. It can be a powerful marketing tool, but putting yourself out there is NOT easy… particularly in the beginning when there are few followers!
Christa speaks from personal experience in this episode. Even after an audience-facing career as a news anchor and years spent on stage as a vocalist, it felt unnatural and intimidating to be in front of the camera online. She said, “telling a news story is certainly different from telling MY story.”
👉 Listen to this week’s episode for actionable tips, based on what we’ve learned from the many life and career coaches we’ve had as guests on BLC, for how to overcome your fears of creating content on social media!

Limiting beliefs are the most common obstacle that BLC guests struggle with when planning their pivot or launching their business. Examples of these beliefs?
▪️I’m too old for this.
▪️I don’t have enough experience.
▪️There are so many people that are better than me right now.
▪️I might fail and this could be humiliating.
Being a little scared or worried is OK. Stepping into the unknown and taking a risk IS scary and often emotional, but holding back your dreams because of these limiting beliefs is NOT!
Today in a solo “Christa’s Takeaways” episode, Christa talks all overcoming limiting beliefs so that you can confidently build your dream career. 🔥
