SHE A GRADUATE!!! ❤️‍🔥👩🏻‍🎓🎓 Secured the Bachelor of Communication in Advertising

So now you can be sure I’m certified to COMMUNICATE 😎😎

Though I’ve been working as a social media manager before I studied advertising, this degree has definitely elevated my design & communication skills as well as my advertising thinking!

I thank God for leading me to choose this course (as a young 17 year old high school student that didn’t really even know what the course would be about 😂)

It was the perfect fit for me and has lead me to build a successful Social Media Advertising Agency, Sarah X Studio 🥳

I definitely didn’t get here by doing the same thing I did 7 years ago when I started social media management…you’d think this it goes without saying but many don’t realise how stuck in their ways they have become!

My experience as a business owner & social media manager has meant that I’ve seen a fast paced industry evolve again and again

❤️‍🔥 LET’S TALK SOCIAL MEDIA:

1️⃣ You must re-evaluate every time there’s a platform update

- stay up to date with & and also social media managers that keep in the loop! You’ll find announcements and tips on what they are changing and how to keep afloat with the “new algorithm”

Ask yourself: will my strategies still work in this new landscape? Do I have to re-adjust in order to achieve what I set out to achieve?

2️⃣ You must be willing to try new strategies

- sometimes when I take on a new client account, many question why I’m not doing the same thing as they’ve always done, as it’s “worked so far”

Ask yourself: Could my success look bigger and better than it already is, if only I tried a new way of doing things?

3️⃣ You must be flexible in your content plans

- Be willing to change your content plans last minute to insert a trending content ideas

- That’s honestly the nature of the social media landscape: if you don’t hop on a trend quick, it’s useless to you!

- Eventhough changing content plans is roughhh when you’ve batch scheduled a month in advance, if you want to succeed, you must be flexible!

⭐️ BONUS POINT:
For all my Christian biz owners out there - think about it in this way:

The way God created us and the nature of our world is that everything MUST CHANGE & SHOULD CHANGE

Plants grow, animals grow, we grow up from being lil babies to adults!

GROWTH IS CHANGE, CHANGE = GROWTH ⚡️❤️‍🔥

Why you shouldn’t post & ghost ❌👻

1️⃣ The algorithm rewards ACTIVE accounts - the more active you are, the more they push your content to your followers

2️⃣ When you interact with other accounts, they’ll (hopefully) check out your profile and in turn engage with your recent post! - the more someone engages with your content, the more likely you’ll be at the top of their feed every time you publish something new!

3️⃣ Keeping your stories alive when you’ve posted a feed post increases the chance of your followers seeing your new feed post!

This year I’ll be working on pushing out more content that is HELPFUL for business owners who want to grow their brands through social media!

“My audience engage least with product photos, so why post them?”

It comes down to one thing - YOU SET IMAGE FOR YOUR PRODUCTS, not your customers.

👉🏼 You need to post photos that set the tone and standard for the image you desire your products to carry.

👉🏼 You can’t rely on average phone photos from customers to make your products look amazing

👉🏼 The way your customers & influencers end up talking about your products will be the way you portray your brand.

So in conclusion, they MAY get the least engagement but they serve a real strong PURPOSE in selling your products!
