DAP holds party convention at Dak Banglow Sumbal Bandipora.
Sumbal: Democratic Azad Party led by GH Nabi Azad held party convention in Dak Banglow Sumbal area of North Kashmir's Bandipora district on Monday.
The programme was presided over by senior leader and former minister Taj Mohiudin and was attended by over hundreds of party workers of the Sonawari constituency.
It's worth to mention here that youth are joining Democratic Azad Party which will play an important role in strengthen the party at gross root level .
Many prominent faces from Sonawari constituency Mr Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, Mr , Mohammad Abdullah Khan and Abdul Qayoom Dar on the occasion joined DAP infront of Taj Mohiudin .

Bandipora: Social Activist Zahoor Ahmad Bhat have expressed resentment against the authorities for failing to provide portable water in Shahgund area of North Kashmir's Bandipora district.
In a statement Social Activist Zahoor Ahmad Bhat said that a Shahgund Sonawari is a densely populated area is still without clean drinking water, People are being now forced to use dirty stream, canal water for drinking which is also affecting the health of locals.
Social Activist Zahoor Ahmad Bhat alleged that," the area is reeling under acute shortage of drinking water for the past six decades while the concerned authorities had failed to take any tangible measure despite repeated pleas".
Zahoor Bhat appealed Lieutenant Governors of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha to sanction at least one filtration plant in area so that people of whole area may get portable filtered Water.
Zahoor Bhat requested LG to resolve the public demand at an earliest.

Mufti Manzoor Shab 'said that around 25 students study here and annually this function takes place so that they are given a warm welcome.

DGP Dilbag Singh Visits Transit Camp Shadipora Sumbal.
Bandipora:- The Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh on saturday visited Yatra transit camp at Shadipora Sumbal where he took stock of ongoing yatra security arrangements and facilities put in place for the pilgrims of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2022, he also interacted with pilgrims.
The DGP was accompanied by DIG north Uday Bhaskar Billa , Senior superintendent of police Bandipora Mohammed Zahid Malik , SDPO of Sumbal and Hajin , SHO Sumbal and other officers.
During the visit DGP inspected security arrangements langar facility, accommodation, sanitation, water supply, electricity, Medicare facilities and other essentials.
He said security forces has put in place all the necessary arrangements for smooth conduct of SANJY -2022. He appreciated the efforts of security and asked them to work with extra zeal for facilitating hassle free yatra .

*NARI SHAKTI TREK: A WOMEN EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE*
Bandipora :-Nari Shakti Trek, a women empowerment initiative by the Indian Army, was conducted in Gurez from 14-20 June 22 in which eight women from different parts of the country and one Kashmiri woman from Anantnag participated in a four day trek to the alpine Patalwan lake alongwith the soldiers of Indian Army. The trek was flagged off on 16 June 2022 from the Dawar helipad Ground by a senior army officer. Three Prominent celebrities of Kashmir, Waqar Khan, Khan Amir and Mc Nasir Ali Khan, also extended their support for the cause and became part of the trek for one day to escort the ladies till Dissan height.
The trek, which was part of the 20 day Jashn-e-Gurez festival, was aimed at promoting women empowerment and breaking the stereo type role of women in the society. The initiative was also aimed at promoting trekking expeditions in the Gurez valley as the area is blessed with numerous pristine and virgin treks and has now emerged on the top priority list of the J&K Tourism and Government to be developed as an offbeat adventure tourism destination.
After a rugged and resilient hike, the trek carried out their first night stay under the starry sky in a campsite at Disan height where many fun activities, games, bonfire and exclusive open air concert in the wilderness by Waqar and other artists was enjoyed by the Sheroes along with refreshments and hot meals.
On Day two, the Trekkers woke up super charged and carried out Yoga Asanas along with the troops on top of Disan height before proceeding with their gruelling march to Patalwan where their second night halt was planned. The trekkers were mesmerised by the raw untouched natural beauty of the trek and also interacted with the Bakarwals enroute. They were given a warm welcome and hot lunch by the troops of the Indian Army.

AAP hold volunteer training camp in Baramulla, discussed party policies, governance module
Baramulla, Jun 19 : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday held a volunteer training program in North Kashmir's Baramulla where in policies and governance module of the party were discussed.
The one-day volunteer training programme was conducted by AAP in the North Zone of Kashmir, where a large gathering of volunteers joined the session wherein a team of experts from Delhi including Imraan Hussain, a cabinet minister in Delhi and election in-charge Kashmir was present, said an AAP spokesperson.
The session was organized by the AAP Kashmir Province team. The volunteers were informed about the manifesto plus the policies and governance module of the party were also discussed for the furtherance of the manifesto on the ground in Kashmir, many aims and objectives were put forward and explained for further dissemination to the AAP in Kashmir.
