SEE YOU AT THE PISTA NG PELIKULANG PILIPINO 2022! From more than 200 submissions from all over the Philippines, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) is proud to announce the 10 official finalists of Sine Kabataan 5 Short Film Festival!

Along with distinguished Filipino filmmakers who serve as their resident mentors, the finalists will now proceed with the production of their films with the help of a production grant worth PHP100,000 to be given to each finalist. The finished films will have their Philippine premiere at this year’s Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino under the Sine Kabataan category.

The FDCP would like to thank all the young and aspiring Filipino filmmakers who submitted their entries to this year’s Sine Kabataan. The agency is with you as you continue your filmmaking journeys.

The titular Kumbiyor (limestone conveyor belt) is an iconic structure in Tibungco, Davao City, inspiring a film set in a zombie-infested Mindanao, where two survivors travel in search for an alleged refugee camp.

Here's the FIRST LOOK of our recent project, KUMBIYOR, directed by Wowa Medroso. Coming soon!

The limestone conveyor belt (kumbiyor) is an iconic structure in Tibungco, Davao City, carrying stones from Budbud, Bunawan to Holcim, Ilang.

The film will revolve around two survivors travelling across a zombie-infested Mindanao in search of an alleged refugee camp.
